Ever since I restored my sysNand from a backup whilst I was in the middle of installing a CFW I haven't been able to open the HBL successfully through menuhax or browsershax whilst on 9.2 thinking that I fucked the job up I decided to update the system and format it so it is now running on 10.7. The issue is that everytime I go into the browser on the system I can load webpages alright and QR codes to website but as soon as I press URL the system crashes and prompts me with the usual hold POWER button black screen, I have also tried using oot3dhax whilst on 10.7 to downgrade or restore my safe backup but I still get the same Yellow screen issue. (I've re tried maybe about 20 ~ 40 times with all methods Menuhax, Browserhax & oot3dhax in their respective firmwares) the whole system seems to be fine eg running games, taking photos and everything else.

Anyway I've been searching everywhere (With no luck), I am just wondering if anyone knows anything about this or if they have experienced anything like this or might be able to conjure up some advice?

I'm thinking I may have to hard-mod the system but I would like to think there is an easier way around this situation seeing that it's not actually bricked.

Thank you.

are you running a9lh? if not how di you restore your sysNAND without hardmod?

Anyway i think it will be beneficial for your to have a hardmod and reflash your 9.2 NAND via hardmod

...I still get the same Yellow screen issue.

Getting this yellow screen with an entrypoint suggest an error about the payload.
I also ran into this problem when I was using Tubehax and I just had to delete the payload file and redownload it. For oot3dhax, be very careful about payload versions.

If you still have your 9.2 backup, you can always go the hardmod way.
Good luck !

I restored a back-up of it through OTPHelper (I was able to cold boot into Cakes if I remember correctly, and I just gathered my OTP info, then restored a backup point and everything went to shit.)

I'll try re-doing the save on my oot3dhax cart because when I first did it, it was for 10.6 not 10.7. The guide I had, had the same files for both firmwares. Yeah I'm thinking I might have to hardmod it, I found a company from my area that does something called a "NAND Backup" for glitched Nands but they said nothing about hardmodding, and he said that they don't take .bin files for restores either.

Thanks guys for the support :)

Just install the hblauncher-loader CIA to have a permanent entrypoint on your home menu. https://github.com/yellows8/hblauncher_loader/releases

EDIT: Or do you mean you're no longer softmodded?
I'm no longer soft-modded unfortunately (I formatted it and updated it from 9.2.0, to restart the process of installing arm9loderhax) my problem is none of the entry points work (I get frozen on the yellow screen) and I can't access hblauncher to install CIA's, it seems like my firmware (or nand too cooked at the moment to know what is what) is glitched because it crashes everytime when I go into the browser and press "URL" on the menu.

EDIT: I couldn't get back into my emuNAND after the restore to install any CIA's

Yeah I used browserhax before I upgraded and formatted from 9.2(I used browserhax & menuhax on 9.2), at the moment I've been solely relying on oot3dhax to downgrade back to 9.2 which isn't working, eitherway I've decided that I'm just going to hard-mod the cunt myself shouldn't be too hard seems simple enough compared to other consoles, cheers for the support. :)

Good luck with that. It isn't too difficult as long as you know your way around a soldering iron.

I'm a computer science student but I've done a lot of ELEC classes I feel confident enough, I decided I'm not going to try it without having the cash to buy another 2ds just for safe measures. Seeing that it is still functions with minor issues.

As long as you have the right tools and a few pictures (diagrams) to guide you about soldering points you should be okay. Oh and be aware of shaking hands :D
Every console is different while hardmodding because some parts aren't located in the same way/place (a small 3ds is harder to mod than an XL one in my opinion).
For my o3dsxl, I followed this guide (in french) : http://www.infinitydream.com/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=102&newsdesk_id=150

Thanks for the link I'll go through it, yeah I have a problem with shaky hands to compensate for it I have to take stuff that will render me useless so that's a little fucked but I'll be fine I've worked a bit with soldering so it should be no problem. I have a 2ds from what I seen it seems simple enough but I don't know how I'll make it permanent(I've only seen guides on making the 3dsxl permanent). I'll make sure I research it properly up and down before I attempt anything, I also have most of the tools required except the MicroSD adapter and SMD adapters I have a soldering iron, solder & flux. Worst comes to worst I'll just get a local electronics repair shop to do all the soldering.

Thanks for the advice.
