Excuse me for the double post. I have an original gc controller but the cable is too short, then i'm using a Dual Shock 3 with an USB extension. I'm tryng to invert the cross and the square button, because i would prefere that the A/Action button of the GC controller be the cross button on the Ps3 controller.
The problem is that in the controllers.zip file i only find these inis:[PDP Afterglow AP.1 Controller for PS3], [PS2 Controller], [Dual Shock 4] and [Dual Shock].

Wich i have to modify? Reverting the values between "A" and "B" in [PDP Afterglow AP.1 Controller for PS3] seems useless.

I saved the file and overwriting itself in the controllers.zip file placede in my sd/apps/nintendont folder, someone can help?

EDIT

Ok, i discovered that the .ini file for Dualshock3 is simply the .ini described as "[Dual Shock]" aka 054C_0268.ini
I revert the values between "A" and "B" buttons, then i replaced the file in the controllers.zip archive, i also tried to put it in the root of my gaming device (hdd/root), both as 054C_0268.ini and controller.ini, and i tried also putting these two files in my sd/apps/Nintendont folder, but nothing happens.

Where's the mistake?

My sha1 for 1.0 is a1837968288253ed541f2b11440b68f5a9b33875.

Also, GCMM failed to restore my 2043 block card's raw image. It stopped at block 1024 (Hmm...), so I had to use Dolphin to export all my saves as GCI and batch import them to the card. I don't suppose you know of a utility that will quickly dump GCI's of all the saves in a raw image?

I personally use ctr-gcs-DacoTaco-Edition.
With all due respect I tried Daco Taco before (back in 2011 before I learned about GCMM) and all I can say is it's crap, it's also very unfriendly with first party MCs but even with third party MCs it only works whenever it wants and most of the time the backup/restore process is broken, if GCMM didn't work with you @bobmcjr then I'm afraid your only other option is Dolphin, it wouldn't hurt to try Daco Taco (maybe it was updated since then, idk) but I wouldn't count ont it working better than GCMM!

yes on VS4 doesnt save but mkgp,mkgp2 and fzero save correctly.
What I never understood is how did F-Zero get save functionality since Crediar didn't implement memory card support in Quadforce, or maybe he did but never released it? I mean if Crediar didn't write the code for F-Zero save functionality then I'm guessing Fix94 did and he probably can write one for VS4 as well, not saying that he should but I mean he probably can.

Is it possible to use AR Codes on Nintendont? All I want to do is use the X,Y,Z Mod in Super Mario Sunshine. If it's possible can you please give me specific step by step instructions please? Thank you.
I forgot the steps how to convert AR codes to Gecko but this site might help http://gamehacking.org/index.php?sys=ngc&q=all they have many games with AR codes but you can check the box at the top that says "Code Filter" and change it to "Gecko" then click "Filter" and it will convert them for you on the fly, like so...

D-pad moves you horizontally. L+D-pad Up/Down moves you up and down.
Note: You need to move around in the level a bit before hitting the buttons to move you around.

so you really think that I put in a stupid amount of time in triforce code writing crazy patches and adding other game support without even looking at that save feature? Of course I did and of course crediar did as well and we both did not understand the CARD commands we receive from the virtua striker games

Thanks for helping me out but unfortunately, it didn't work. I don't know why it's so hard to use AR Codes on Nintendont. I've tried Gcncrypt, ARtoWiiRD, Gecko Cheat Code Manager, and gamehacking.org. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

I haven't looked at the code you're trying to run, but it's possible it isn't compatible with Nintendont. Nintendont patches the game. If the code is trying to patch something that Nintendont has already changed, it won't work. I'd be especially suspicious of any code that activates on controller input, as that's one of the primary things that Nintendont changes.
My recommendation is to start with a code that isn't likely to be affected by Nintendont (starting lives, coins, etc.). If that works, you'll know you have everything set up correctly. If the code uses controllers, try running with Native controllers. If it still doesn't work, it will need to be rewritten to work with Nintendont.

I just got to test IPL v1.2 USA with Nintendont v3.387 (thanks @bobmcjr) and I can confirm that it does indeed work with first party MCs, so now this issue is fixed on my end, I think this should be mentioned as a recommendation on the first page that if you use first party MCs and Bios it's recommended to use v1.2 instead.

Also I went ahead and tested the MOD that allows you to change the background and let's just say it's now my default version <3 Thank you @send0r I'm currently using a fully black BG because it's easy on the eyes but the good thing about this mod is that regardless of what you use as a BG the text will be invisible after you select a game so using it with a loader like USB Loader GX makes it change directly to the GC bios screen instead, awesome!

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for ya, you know many codes are associated with the use of the Gamecube controller so if you're using something else this might very well be it, also not every code works when converted from AR to Gecko and I'm not even sure if all Gecko codes that work on real Gamecube work on Nintendont, it's a gamble.

so you really think that I put in a stupid amount of time in triforce code writing crazy patches and adding other game support without even looking at that save feature? Of course I did and of course crediar did as well and we both did not understand the CARD commands we receive from the virtua striker games
I'm sure you two put a lot of effort into it, I was just saying if Crediar didn't write the code for F-Zero MC support (I really don't know if he did or not but afaik he never released it officially) then I'm guessing you did, like I said you don't have to do it regardless wither you can or not and quite honestly I don't care if it's ever implemented because aside from saving your high score I don't know if this game even unlocks anything and with VS3 being officially ported to the Gamecube with full save functionality and the ability to unlock a team with Sonic characters (which is the only reason why I even play this game as I'm not a big fan of sports games in general) I rarely ever touch VS4, please don't take my words as if I'm calling you incompetent or lazy I'm just stating that it could be added in the future but in the meantime it isn't and for me it doesn't matter.

All the other codes work, but it's the "X,Y,Z Mod" AR code that's making the game crash. When ever I use that AR code the game crashes and give me a black/blank screen. I used Native controllers and it still crashes. All I want to do is use that one AR code, but it keeps on crashing. How do I rewrite the code so it can work with Nintendont?

Hi can I just say I'm loving using nintendont on my wiiu, thumbs up..

I do have a couple of little issues that I can't seem to figure out..
I updated to the latest version but now 2 games seem to have trouble working correctly, I get a black screen but can hear the sound find ?

The games are both legend the Zelda master quest and collection games... . ..? Menus work fine but when you select
ocarina Of time screen goes black but I can hear the game sound... Same fir the collection version too but all other old zelda games load fine... It appears to only effect the n64 versions ...

Hope that all makes sense, any settings I can use to get thise games running ? Thanks

Please post the version you're running because saying "latest" is not good enough, also post your settings, are you using progressive or something similar? You could also check the games as they might be corrupted, that's all I can say as I don't have these games although I did make some N64 injects using them!

Stop forcing width , width makes some games blackscreen.

Mate your a star.... Thank you it's working

Note you can't set it to zero but you can set to default and it works a treat ..
yeah some games(quite afew) dont work with width values becuase they way they are coded so yeah see you were saying all settings were default when they werent, 99% of the people say i have the latest nintendont and default setting when they rarely have the latest nintendont or the default settings.

Yeah when i said default settings i kinda forgot the changed width settings. I never thought that would effect games too as well as the menu screen lol...Numpty me.

Again thanks tho, it was driving me nuts...Can i ask is there a way to power off the wiiu when and if nintendont locks up my wiiu, without pulling power cord out ?..

well are you using a fowarder or something? if your using nintendont directly from the homebrew channel all you need to do is press home menu to return to homebrew channel and from there just prss the wiiu power button and it will shutdown normaly, but afaik clicking the shutdown button n the wiiu itself works normaly.

What I mean is sometimes nintendont locks up my wiiu and the only way to fix it us to pull power cord out... I can't do anything when it locks up...?
