I know there's stuff like rxtools, which is awesome.
But, I like how gateway can load roms, and not just cias, cheat support, and 100% support for all games.
Should I buy a gateway? Or should I wait for RXTools to support more features?
I'm mostly interested in the cheat system.

If you're looking for cheats there's always NTR CFW and its cheat plug-in. As far as I'm aware there are more cheats with NTR than there are with Gateway, but somebody can correct me on that if I'm wrong. :)

As for ROMs, personally, I don't mind using CIAs over .3DS files. The only plus I could see about the Gateway (mind you, I own one) is that it's easier to get set up, and if you already have CFW, it's a way to have extra space for games considering they're run off of the microSD in the flashcard.

It's basically all up to personal preference in the end though!

Alright, so, is it possible to convert existing cheats from gateway to ntr?
How would I set up NTR CFW for O3ds on 9.2?

I think the price too damn high, but I understand it, most of the development is going to be for the launcher. But mostly they just use another peoples work and discovery. (memchunkhax for 9.2 sysnand, leaked keys for +9.6 etc.)
But I still like the gw 3ds - extra storage space for games, just copy n go, no installation, copy launcher to sd card and you are ready to go and the fancy ingame menu.
Fore some people may worthy, for others not

I think you're underestimating how much cfw has progressed.

To answer the question, no, it isn't even close to worth it these days.
Then they should announce that they wont add support anymore on their website. :P

I use RXTOOLS mainly but I recently bought a gateway because the installation is easy if I knew how to I'd set up ntr but I'm too much of a dummy...BTW I'm not disappointed at all with my gateway I love it

if you can get gateway for like 40€ / 45$ max, it "worth" it, i had the chance to buy it @ 32€ / 37$ so it was golden,
it worth it in the a way that it easier to put games, less time consuming, tbh i use both, i install games i know i will play online or games i know i will play a lot, and games that i play more occasionally in the gateway.
So i'm using menuhax with gateway + RXtools (for GBA VCs) and i recommand it, but only if you find the gateway @ 45$ max.

All price/money points aside, rxtools devoted for playing gba games and gateway 3ds for everything else. You could even use the same emunand so win win situation.
