Is the Supercard DS2 compatible with and 3DS firmware? A friend is looking to get one but needs the answer to this quetion before buying :)

Yea the DStwo's are compatible. But make sure he don't spend more for the newer plus models if he has a choice. The older ones are fine. But if he is only going to play DS roms then just get a R4i RTS flashcard. But if he wants gba and snes support than go with DStwo.

not natively (neither gba or snes games anyway)
for gbc games you need to use "lameboy" a gb\gbc emulator which works in most (if not all) cards including dstwo and r4 cards

for gba or snes games, the dstwo has its own emulator that uses the processsor on the card for extra power, these emulatores are not compatible with other cards...

Just a nudge- lameboy isn't generally recommended anymore. The best GBC emulator for DS nowadays is "GameYob" - it's got a fair few more features/higher compatibility.

that is correct, i mixed up the name, i meant gameyob..
lameboy is the outdated one..
