Hacking Question about flashcards

Hello everyone
I'm thinking of buying a NEW 3DS XL, so I have been doing some research and found out that the SKY3DS+ is best choice for 3DS games right?

However it doesn't play DS games, so I'm just wondering if there is a flashcard that works on the current firmware that can play DS games?

R4i RTS SDHC or R4i Dual-Core SDHC. I heard the DSTWO+ can play DS and 3DS games, but not sure...

These R4 cards frequently update to support the latest firmware. The older R4 do not update as frequently...

Buy your 3ds before you buy the Sky3DS, since if it has 9.0 or 9.2 firmware you will be able to play games for free. And if it had 10.3 or less you can downgrade it (you might still choose a Sky but at least you'll know what your options are).
