This is Cynthia's block, if that matters.
Could the hex data be different if the game is from other region?

AHA!I'm not sure if the pic's character block is the same with Fates' character block.
In Fates' character block, equipped skills come in first then after two "00" digits it's the inventory item data.

For those that are colourblind: the legend lists the colours in the order they appear on the chart, left to right, up to ninth colour, then it's in the last colour (unknown), then continies from the tenth legend entery.
is it still compressed?![]()
Here's my Avatar's character block. The highlighted number is where I started so I'm not sure how big is the character block. The two digits right after the highlighted digit might be the Character Modifier since Male Avatar's ID is "0000"
Level is 7, EXP is 32 (07 20).
"77 00 6E 00 72 00 8A 00 1B 00" are the equipped skills.
"24 01 00 22" is the Inventory Item "Seed of Trust with 34 uses left. The inventory block ends before the digit "43".
I'm still wondering where the other placements for bonus stats, classes, skills learned, weapon level, additional movement, accessory slots, marriage options and other identifiers.

Then that is not character data.I already used the Awakening Save Tool to decompress it before I started looking at the numbers.

Give me a moment to study it, I assume you are rank E in all professions?Ah, I was wondering where the Fates save editing thread is.
That character block is for Fates, not Awakening.

Modifying the learned skills digits doesn't seem to work on my save. i wonder why.

Just tried it myself, I can say the same thing here. It's not working on my end either

Try including 00. If not ill go back to my save and find out what exactly I changed to make it work. I know everything else works cuz when i reverted back and then just edited in minor stuff, my character has dragonskin (cuz you know, hes a dragon XD) so i know equipted skills work...I included the 76 in the digits, and that doesn't work. Would it be the 00 then?

If you gave yourself all skills, and equiped some, might work better than trying to equip skills you don't have.Try including 00. This has to be the case, the core engine has been massively improved over awakening with tons of sanity checks. If you gave yourself all skills, and equiped some, might work better than trying to equip skills you don't have.
Nintendo may have scripted a "does skill exist on skill roster?" check into fates, something absent from awakening?
