I downgraded my 3DS weeks ago using "those files".

I can also use it for the 2DS?

(I know the answer will be yes and I know is a O3DS anyways... but I want to be sure for not getting a softbrick xD yeah my sister would kill me if that happens *all for Majora's Mask :rofl2:*)

You must use the O3DS files for downgrading

Also, be sure to don't downgrade under a certain point and you format your console somehow it asks you to scroll the slider, which the 2DS doesn't have, which leads to a brick.

If you downgrade on 9.2 you'll be fine though.

Oh ok thanks! :)

I can't remember which firmwares trigger such slider, They should be from 7.0 or lower, just wait for other answers to be sure.

This, obviously, if you'd like do the Arm9loaderhax, as you won't have much reasons to downgrade to firmwares lower than 9.2 otherwise.

I'm planning to do this tutorial, In other words, to install RxTools and unlinking and online access. I did that one with the 3DS and it was very successful!

2DS owner here with A9LH: The only thing to really watch-out for during the downgrade/OTP process is making sure that your wifi is ON. Other than that it's smooth sailing with the o3DS files/instructions. Best of luck.
