I'm just about to. I'll edit the post with results.
I'm just wondering if modifying the payload can still make it work.

@Aurora Wright would doing what you taught me yesterday (adding multinand support, etc) break the sysNAND updater thing you have in place? Also, would the 9.0 FIRM on 10.5 still allow decrypt9 to work?

Can I restore my 10.5 EmuNAND to my SysNAND after I'm done installing A9LH?
You cannot use the restore function in Decrypt9 because that will overwrite the FIRM0/FIRM1 partitions you just modified with ARM9LoaderHax. I don't know exactly how you're supposed to do it; I'm just backing up my saves and re-installing everything on my sysNAND like a new system.

Can you outline steps you took.
Get the latest version of AuReiNAND. In the "rei" folder on your SD card, create a file (just a blank file with no extension) called "updatedsysnand". Edit the file and type some text into it. It can be anything as long as it's not blank. Then, when you turn your 3DS on, it should boot into sysNAND. From there you can update normally through System Settings because the sysNAND is patched so that FIRM0 and FIRM1 won't be overwritten.

Ok, i figured it out (i think)

I have to compile arm9loaderhax.3dsx myself ;) since the OTP is console specific, i need to recompile it again for every other system using the specific OTP from that system.
So i managed to get everything and have it compiled arm9loaderhax.3dsx
Did i had to change anything in the source to get it working with AuReiNand?
Did anybody make an arm9loaderhax.smdh that i can get?

Next:
Copy whole data_output folder to \3ds on SD and rename it arm9loaderhax
Boot into HBL and start arm9loaderhax to get it installed.

well a9lh is new so I'm not sure it's possible since I'm sure everyone's emunand is on 10.5 right now.

@Aurora Wright is there anything else stored in firm0/firm1? Bit of a noob to what they are. Sysnand doesn't end up some frankenbuild where the Eshop or something doesn't work? lol. Cheers

pretty sure you have to have emunand 9.0. if it works for you and you don't brick then I may try that instead of injection partitions from sysnand to emunand to downgrade emunand.

I was waiting for someone with a hardmod to come and try it out
