Ah that worked thanks. Im now at the homebrew launcher, what do i need to do now so it automatically boots in reinand mode?

if you're trying to run a9lh then follow the steps the OP has, you got have have your opt compiled and everything that came from the compiled opt put into a 3ds folder with the same name as the arm9loaderhax.3dsx. just run that and if you have everything on your sd card correctly it will auto boot emunand.

FIRMs.7z has two firmware90.bin in two different folders.

When I put the normal rei folder on the root and then put firmware90.bin inside it from A9LH. Arm9loaderhax black screens

did you copy the payload to your sd card? the firmware90.bin needs to be on root as well.

Try launching reinand within HBL. If it launches, then great. Get the file inside the menuhax folder and put it onto the root of your SD card.

If it doesn't, you didn't place the FIRM files correctly.

So i cant run ReiNand from the homebrew launcher then (remember im on O3DS btw)

Oh jeez, theres alot more involved then. Is it easy to compile an OPT?

if you got your OPT after downgrading to 2.1 using the OPT tut found in the tut section on this site then have someone compile it for you
I can recommend @FONZD to compile it for you as he/she did it for me.

2. You don't need OTP/arm9loaderhax to use AuReiNAND.

he/she said they wanted it to auto boot which is what a9lh does so maybe they already have their OPT file but just need help like I did.

So from the AuReiNand 3.4 zip file, in the 'rei-o3ds' folder there is the, reboot folder which has 'reboot1' & 'reboot2' bin files, and also the folder 'emunand' which has the 'emunand' bin file. I also have the firmware90.bin file i got from the FIRMs.7z file. So i should rename 'rei-o3ds' folder to 'rei', place this on my SD card so in the 'rei' folder there should be the following...

Yeah, as said before i have had rxtools on this o3ds system, i was on rxtool 10.4 cfw. So i already have emuNAND. I just wanted to know what i needed to do in order to remove rxtool and use AuReiNand.

You're missing the firmware.bin file inside your rei folder.

I garbed the firmware.bin file from the sys folder in my 'rxtools' folder but im still getting a black screen when i try and launch reinand through homebrew launcher

• When sysNAND is booted on a A9LH setup, a patch (courtesy of delebile) is applied that makes updates skip writing to FIRM0 and FIRM1. This way, sysNAND can be updated without losing A9LH.

Read the first post. The firmware is not the same as rxtools.

No, you need completely different files!

so if I were to use this update pressing L wouldn't boot into my emunand since it 10.5? I would have to press L+R?

Only if you create that file. Else, everything will stay the same.
That flag is for A9LH people who want to replace using emuNAND with sysNAND And in that case, having a 9.0 emuNAND is more useful than an updated one (as you can't use programs like Decrypt9 on an updated sysNAND/emuNAND)
