Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

so I have the arm9loaderhax.3dsx and everything else in a folder I named A9LH i put in my 3ds folder but it isn't showing up :/

I cant find the FIRM files, also im wanting to use arm9loaderhx so can i delete the menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin file?. As i was under the impression if using arm9loaderhax, 3D works from a cold boot and dont need to close the lid and reopen again?

i think you need to rename rei-o3ds to rei

Rename rei-o3ds to rei. I'll PM you the FIRM files in a bit.

As for am9loaderhax, unless you already have your OTP or compiled it, keep menuhax on there for now. But yeah, it "fixes" the 3D.

Edit: Put the file in the menuhax folder to the root of your SD card. It should be called "boot.3dsx".

What is the most efficient place to put the files if you're running a new 3ds with arm9loaderhax and want to use emunand

The FIRMs.7z has 4 dirs in root.
A9LH
NTR
rei-n3ds
rei-o3ds
In FIRMs.7z\A9LH\rei-n3ds\ there is only one file, firmware90.bin
This file is also present under FIRMs.7z\rei-n3ds\:
emunand (dir)
installeda9lh
firmware.bin
firmware90.bin

So, it's the same firmware90.bin in both dirs? Is the empty file named "installeda9lh" needed?

Edit, same firmware90.bin twice, same checksum.

When I hold L+R it just boots to emunand and when I let go It boots camera, how can I get it to boot sysnand with firmware90.bin with losing 10.4 firmware.bin

Yes holding L botts sysnand 9.2 with 9.6+ firmware file and holfding l+r with the 9.0 firmware file

ok cool, can't wait for what's to come with a9lh. hopefully this slight lag that's noticeable can be cleared up later this year.

I just copied the 03ds reinand folder from the a9lh folder to my sd card replacing the rei folder I had after renaming the one from the a9lh folder. then I copied everything you are told to copy to root from the OP. copy the dat file from the reinandv3.4 folder though as well.

Hmm, im unable to get it to work after the debug screen and the red lower screen it just stays on a black screen

Im using the AuReiNand 3.4 zip file, and im not sure OT guide reflects this newer release as there is no a9lh folder at all

Probably means you're using the wrong FIRM files.

Ah that worked thanks. Im now at the homebrew launcher, what do i need to do now so it automatically boots in reinand mode?
