I don't think the brick rate is THAT high. I'm seeing a lot of people with success.

As long as there's any chance of a brick, not touching it with a ten-foot pole. I think it's safer to wait it out till there's a full-CFW way to do this stuff.

I mean, at this point there is too much risk and too little payoff to get the OPT, especially for a 'common' level CFW user without a hardmod.

exactly, mrrraou said a program that does most of the stuff besides the downgrading and emunand/sysnand back up can be made to help everyone who doesn't have a hardmod so their brick chance would be slim then.

So, how should my SD card look if I just want to be able to use arm9loader to autoboot emuNAND, while also being able to hold a button combo so that I can load a patched sysNAND capable of playing GBA/DSi games? I don't need to load a >=9.6firm or the reboot patch so I'm just a little confused...

Sorry, if this issue only happen to me. I tried to boot Reinand Mod for 10 times, but splash screen didn't show up. ofc I checked splash.bin placed correct directory. Im not using arm9loaderhax.

So I was using a old version of ctrbootmanager, it worked fine and boot rates were amazing, but then I changed it for the latest version so I could use images on it, and now I´m getting the worst boot rates of my life, can anyone share some info on this?. cfg settings would also help greatly.

Yeah L button launches SysNAND with the >=9.6 firmware.bin, L+R launches it with the 9.0 FIRM (so you can use your arm9 homebrews, like Decrypt9 and stuff). Same as the non-A9LH version.

Oh I´ve been meaning to ask about this.

I can boot to sysnand well only holding the L button, but when I hold L+R it just goes to black screen, I´m using it on a new 3ds xl with 10.2 firmware file.

Also what is the difference between 9.6 firm and 9.0 firm? when booting on sysnand with reinand?. Sorry if You´ve answered this before :C

Did it work before? What version of AuReiNAND are you using? Is the BIN itself valid (i.e. if you got it off the internets, did it download OK)?

I find that after moving to 3.3 the splash doesn't always appear.

There are Programms which depend on the FIRM, for example Decrypt9 requires 9.0-9.2 FIRM, other than than newer games run only on 9.6+ FIRM

I see thank you very much, any idea why I can´t boot AuReinand with 9.0 firm? (L+R)

EDIT: Now the splash atleast shows up when trying to boot sysnand withL+R, but I´m thrown directly into menuhax again and get into a loop.

yes, me too. but at this time it's never show up to me. I'm now using latest version 3.4. However the boot rate is very good than before. : )

I love the boot time on this with arm9loaderhax. Zero to 10.5 emuNAND in 8.5 seconds is pretty swift. It would probably be even faster if I didn't have a custom theme. Gotta love the 100% boot rate too.

I'm still not brave enough to do it on my N3DSXL yet though. I'm too lazy to hardmod it though so will probably end up trying soon.

@Aurora Wright , if you inject firm0, firm1, sector and 0x05C000 from a9lh sysnand 9.0-9.2 to emunand 10.5, and this emunand you restore to nand, you will have a sysnand a9lh in 10.5 (this it works) (see my signature XD)
