Hello! I have a OFW hacked PSP and I plugged my PSP to my computer to download some ISO'S. I tried Rockband Unplugged and Patapon and both of them went black (Rockband unplugged had it's logo on but then went black.) But this shouldn't be happening because years ago I got my PSP hacked somewhere and they installed me Assasins Creed and that worked. I only have a 2 GB memory stick (Legit) and I wanted other games rather than AC so I put AC on my desktop in case I would want to install it again and later when the two games (rockband and patapon) didn't work I tried AC and this time that didn't work either! I also have GTA Vice City UMD and that works but my friend put his Star Wars game in and the screen went black just like the other ones! Idk maybe it's broke but pls help! Thanks! :D

I SAID CFW ON TITLE BUT IT'S OFW, SORRY!

Which PSP do you have? What CFW do you have installed? We need details.

*EDIT* OFW? Okay... well it's time to install a CFW then. There's a few tutorials around here, and of course google helps, go hack your PSP and you can run ISOs

I think have a PSP 1000 but on the battery compartment it says PSP-3004. On my ''System Software'' it says 6.39 PRO-B6. I am not sure if it's ofw or cfw because I can't access recovery mode.

Chances are you're not running fast recovery which is needed to enter CFW.
Download https://storage.googleapis.com/google-code-archive-downloads/v2/code.google.com/procfw/639PRO_B6.rar
Copy the files to your PSP/GAME folder. Run fast recovery and and see what happens when you try playing games/homebrew. Try bringing up the VSH menu with select.

Either way you're running an older version of CFW. If you want to update to the latest CFW you'll have to uninstall PRO CFW before updating to the latest. I highly recommend doing this. Before that though you'll want to figure out which model you're using by running PSPIdent http://filetrip.net/psp-downloads/homebrew/download-pspident-0-75-f26588.html it'll tell you which model (1k,2k,3k) and rather or not it's hackable. Of course this is assuming you can still run homebrew, but chances are all you needed was fast recovery.

I'll first try running it on my current software. Thanks!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Edit: But I already have fast recovery. Should I replace it?

You could if you want but its the same version included with 6.39 PRO-B6. You have to run it first before you can load ISOs.

I know that. If you don't run fast recovery first then it says that the file is corrupted or doesn't show it on the menu. So what now... :)

To be honest you're better off uninstalling Pro***, update to 6.61, and installing the newest CFW. Run PSPIdent first and make sure you know what model you're running. If you have a hackable 1000 or 2000 it's as simple as downloading a patch and running it but if you have a 3000 or some other model you'll need to install Davees Infinity CFW (google it).

*** Run PROUPDATE and press TRIANGLE to uninstall.

PSPIdent http://filetrip.net/psp-downloads/homebrew/download-pspident-0-75-f26588.html it'll tell you everything you need to know.
6.61 Update https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/system-updates/psp/
ME CFW http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=38203 (If you have hackable PSP1000, or 2000, uninstall Pro, update to 6.61, and download 6.61 ME 2.3 OFW version)
PRO CFW http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=41249#p376286

If you have any more issues, google it :P
