Hardware USB Flash Drive write protected itself

Hello,

I was using my USB flash drive to transfer gamesaves between my Xbox 360 and PC. I was putting it in and pulling it out multiple times between my Xbox 360 and PC so I didn't "properly" eject it (too time consuming).
I put a save file on my USB flash drive, pulled it out as soon as it was done copying and inserted it into my Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 said it wouldn't work and to make sure it wasn't write protected. I pulled it out, put it in my PC and it worked. I can't delete anything off of it or put anything on it because it is, for some reason, write protected. There is no write protection switch on my USB flash drive.

Please help.

Right click the drive, go to properties and make sure that the write protection box isn't checked. If you haven't already.

There is no write protection/read only option. I have checked all the tabs.

Didn't see that actually. I tried to follow the steps but there was too much broken English. For some reason, Step 2 is "Seep 2". Idiots.

Thanks anyway. I contacted the USB drive's support and they said it is usually caused by a hardware fault in the controller. At first they said to send them the USB drive but I told them that I didn't want them to snoop through my personal stuff such as my photos and I asked was there any way at all that I could fix it myself. Then they told me to give them a photo of my USB drive and my address and they would send me a new one. I'm guessing this is a common problem with Integral USB drives because I told them what I was doing and how I neglected it by not using the "safely remove" thing.

It seems to me that this is my fault. I forgot to mention that Horizon was running and, as usual, would have been using the USB drive. Windows always bitches when you try to safely eject something when another program has it open.

I found another guide written in actual English because I googled more about the flash programs. The flash program should finish its job in about 30 minutes and I'll post the results.

Thank you, MajinCubyan. Even though the guide you gave me was terrible, I would not have been able to fix my USB drive without it.

From now on, I'm going to be safely removing my USB from my computer.
