What I'm trying to establish is whether or not new3DS users running rxTools on 10.5 emuNAND can successfully launch bootntr.

For what it's still worth, new3ds user with rxtools latest (3.0 beta) and BootNTR v3.2 - it gives me a 'firmware not supported' error.

-sighs- so that pretty much proves that NTR doesn't support 9.6 FIRM.

I saw some mentions of NTR 3.3 somewhere however, is that actually a thing or a WIP?

So I was googling around a bit concerning NTR and I found this BootNTR.cia which autoexits rather than having to press the Home button. I have not tried it yet (nor can I because 3.2 apparently doesn't support 9.6 FIRM as stated by me above), but either way, I found it on a chinese site (google translate is bae). Can such a cia be trusted or not?

I have a few questions about the cpu plugin you included in your fork of NTR.
How do you know which frequency is active?
When you exit a game or homebrew, does it return to default or does it keep the selected frequency?
I guess that if I select the default option and launch Xenoblade the N3DS will go full speed?

One last question or more a request actually, would it be possible to have the current frequency displayed in the menu?

For Xenoblade the speed boost has no effect to begin with because it

1) is a N3DS exclusive game so it is already using that speed boost
2) If 1 wouldn't apply - it is a game that was released post-N3DS, most games that were released post-N3DS automatically use the full speed.

Yes I figured it out by myself for Xenoblade but thanks for the confirmation.
So the console overrides the plugin setting when it has to, which is really great.

I only got one question remaining, when does the plugin reset to default? If it does.

NTR 3.3 seems to work fine with RXTools, 9.6 firm and 10.5 emuNAND on n3DS. Just tested it myself (Japanese standard n3DS, if it matters).

I tried to use this with Reinand mod and it said something about dumping with lots of letters and bumbers on screen, at the end it said it failed, does anyone know why?

So to be able to use cheats:

- Create plugin folder in root of 3DS SD
- Create TitleID folder in plugin folder (x:\plugin\0004000000xxxxxx)
- copy cheat.plg into TitleID folder (x:\plugin\0004000000xxxxxx\cheat.plg)

- Boot CFW (NTR already installed as cia)
- Start NTR and then exit, press X+Y to see if it is installed correct (NTR Menu shows up)
- Start game, top screen flashes green, once into the game press X+Y to enable cheats

I did all this but i can't see any cheat option :/, must be missing something :/

[EDIT]

There are two types of cheat plugins; those that are activated via button combination (these don't appear in the NTR menu), and those that are activated in the NTR menu.

It seems the plugin you're using is the former, and most common.

So quick question, I only use NTR CFW for the language emulation, screenshots and layeredfs.

Which version of NTR CFW could I run for the highest possible success rate on boot?

Running on an O3DS, my sysNAND is 9.2 running RxTools with emuNAND in 10.3, I'm using the latest version but the success rate coupled with Hax 2.5's very hit or miss bootrate for menuhax really makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes.

BootNTR v3.3 by @Shadowtrance and why is your emuNAND not 10.5.0-30?

Mostly because I'm worried that NTR will stop working if I update, I already have 3.3, just wondering if an older one had a better bootrate.

I guess I'll update my emuNAND if it's confirmed to work on 10.5.
Work's fine on 10.5.0-30

Works fine on 10.5 emunand most of the time :P (assuming you're not using native firm above 10.2 that is.
It's a pity the success rate of it booting/running has gone downhill though :(

Have o3ds with 10.5 emunand
Try run from topic NTR 3.2 on GW\RXTools - don't work
Try run from Shadowtrance NTR 3.3 on GW\RXTools - don't work
What i do wrong? It still say something about not supporting frimware or menu and then dumping files...
