Edit2: You know what's funny? The README.md was already updated. And there were still several questions in a row about which firmware file to use. I just wasted my time cloning the repo to update it...

Haha! Nice... but the 00's still take up space (much less if zipped, but whatever). Your .bin should be exactly 16 bytes.

@MelonGx Then use Cakes or Rei. Or call a waaambulance. You don't need any CFW at all to play DS carts.

yeah that threw me off because when you create a blank new .bin file in HxD you only get the first row to fill in (the gif isnt mine) then i remembered it shouldnt matter cause 00s are blank lol

doesnt it support GBA games without patch i never ever got the 3 i have installed to work.

tried patching emunand and not patching sysnand installing thgames both to SD (like always)

tried patching both also never boots 3 different GBA games , LTTP,Minish Cap and Pokemon Pinball always black screen and always error in sysnand if i run it from RX sys

It took a few tries, but the Installation Suite finally finished.
My emunand is on 10.5.0-30U created by GW and cia's installed with ReiNand.

When I first got into rxTools, it created two Gift packages which turned out to be blank.
If I boot into ReiNand, those packages are gone. If I boot back into rxTools they get created again but they're blank and they're not listed in Data Management.

It took me many tries to get into the rxTools menu, to the point that I wondered if pressing L really worked or not.
Finally, it worked and I tried pastamode and it worked (I was able to play Custom GBA with my AGB_FIRM Patch).

Did anybody else get those blank gift packages the first time they enter rxTools?

It sucks when everytime I have to hold any button to disable menuhax coldboot to launch DS cart lol.

Blank icons means you installed a cia app to the NAND with FBI. You have to install it with a destination of SD. I'm not sure how to remove it without relying on restoring an emunand backup.

By the way, @MelonGx is definitely right about the issue he opened on GitHub. I highly recommend that you do NOT use this build on an o3ds until the issue is resolved. It *seems* to be fine on my N3DS though.

Edit: Got into emunand on o3ds. Took several tries to get past installation data suite. Took 2 tries after that was done to boot into emunand.

I booted up pressing L to access the menu. Installation froze, I waited around 5 minutes, I power off the device.
I reboot into rxTools, again I pressed L. On the top screen "Installation data". 5 seconds later, the usual Roxas head on the top screen. I pressed a button (d-pad, left I think but lol, I just wanted to see if something happens) and it booted onto emunand...

Anyway, it works well even if I don't understand everything.

Other than the frustrating bootrate, I just tried generating xorpads and it crashed forcing a hard shutdown.. Decrypt9 worked fine on the same ncchinfo.bin. I think I'm done with rxTools for the time being. I'll still keep the 9/28 build that's on my O3DS, but this latest release won't be staying on my N3DS.

its could also be the fact this is using the 9.6 firm as a Quick and DIrty Build
also dont forget even this build is a Beta itsef so it isnt complete they didnt even put in the keygen code we have to do it manually atm

Strange. I just tried downloading the build from lavanoid and it installed immediately. Isn't the latest version on lavanoid the same as the latest one on https://github.com/roxas75/rxTools/releases page?
