Not necessarily. The Wii version of Twilight Princess can be found at a very affordable price, which hasn't prevented the GC version from dunking down in value. Why would the Wii U version do so?
You're forgetting that the Wii version is mirrored so it automatically does not stack up well with the original release of TP.

Wind Waker on NGC has had its resale value decreased ever since the Wii U release so I expect the same for TP NGC too.

TP GC have a higher value because IIRC the EU version didnt sold a lot, it's was quite "rarer" to see a GC version in france/belgium in store... same for all the europe, some store just had a couple of copies when they ordered a lot more back in the days.

Just did the research after i wrote my reply, here is the sales : http://www.vgchartz.com/game/2401/the-legend-of-zelda-twilight-princess/

360k for all europe, that's nothing.

So is this game the Wii version given the remastered treatment or is it the original Gamecube one with the unmirrored layout?

What do you mean unmirrored layout? I beat the wii version in 06 and never realized there was any difference.

Yeah, the Wii version was mirrored due to most players being right handed (if you think that's an odd explanation, just google around about it). That doesn't bug me, the main thing that bugs me about the Wii version is the controls aren't as nice as the NGC version.

So is the map itself mirrored? Or just the way link holds his sword?

Taking WW as an example is a sign that the resale value of TP will be changing due to the TPHD featuring the original unmirrored game and fully playable with a traditional controller. We'll see. :)

60fps tends to hurt my eyes, and I don't have a Wii U anyways, so...

I've never bought nor played Twilight Princess.

I don't even have my own computer. :'^)

My hat's off to you, sir. That's some mighty fine trolling you did there. One could argue there is no reason to be in this thread (it's like going to a bar when you don't want a drink, company or going out), but for fun's sake, let's take this a bit further... :P

Taleweaver: why you could get a secondhand computer. they're not that expensive anymore.
You: actually, I won't have space for it.
Taleweaver: well, you can always make space. Say, put some consoles you don't play in the basement
You: I'm not really a gamer.
Taleweaver: well, you can get INTO a game like this. :)
You: I would be, but I'm actually blind, so it's kind of hard...

I dont understand why they would flip the world,i thought GC and wii version were exactly the same.
Here is a comparison of the GameCube and Wii versions:

You may ask, why did they mirror it? Your guess is as good as mine.

They explained a long time ago that the mirroring was related to most people being right handed, and they wanted to make the screen mirror your movements with the wii-mote.
So as Link is a lefty in the original game, they took the laziest approach possible and mirrored the game to "make him right handed".
This way the character performed the same arm movement on the screen as you with the wii-mote on the real world (given you were right handed).

So that's it! Still, not everyone's right-handed so it's flawed logic by Nintendo.

Why did they not simply change the GC version and put the sword on the same hand as it is on the wii. Plus who cares what hand the sword is on,it makes no sense to change the map because of it.

Link is a lefty from the get go in the old days. The Wii version is the weird one actually.
The game was already half developed on the GC, and changing the sword hand for link would have changed the hit boxes, it will require additional testing and tweaking to check everything still worked as intended and no gameplay bugs were introduced.
Mirroring the image implies almost no change and behaviour and code, it is the very lazy way to keep both versions very similar and avoid additional testing. So why? Because it was cheaper and easier.

Eh, who needs HD remaster when you can buy the GC/Wii version for 10-20 dollars at your local game store?
no way in hell are you getting the GC version for 10-20 dollars.

GC version value is higher because it has NO MOTION CONTROLS...everyone seems to forget that

Well, traditional controls and that the game isn't mirrored. I'm personally satisfied that Nintendo's bringing back TP in its original form whilst still having the motion controls (= mirrored version) for whoever wants to play that way.

I wish they did this with all the wii games they ruined with those shitty motion controls. So many games i'll never play SMG1&2, SS, Mad World, Metroid Prime 3. All those games in HD with normal controls would be dope.

If they had left the traditional controls on the Wii version of Mario Power Tennis I'd definitely have bought it but I'm just not into motion controls.
