Due to the recent pokemon distribution, and the inefficiency of Nintendo France, I added the GAME Spain Nintendo Zone in my NbaHomePass program. It is now possible to simulate this Nintendo Zone and then get a code to receive the event.

I. Set up NbaHomePass

First you are going to need the program itself, you can download it here : http://mrnbayoh.tumblr.com/downloads (don't forget to download the BASE256.txt).

Then put the two files in a folder.
Open a command prompt and enter : "cd PATH" where PATH is the path to the folder containing the file.
You can now write : "nbahomepass.exe base256.txt false XXX XXX" where XXX is a number that does not matter if your are not going to homepass.
Then press enter, le program will start and continue the configuration until you see : "Starting hosted network...".

II. Get the code

Before doing anything, delete your main wifi connection from the 3DS, or prevent it to connect to your home wifi by changing the SSID for example.
Then power on your console, you should see a message saying you that the Nintendo Zone service is available.
Open the Nintendo Zone app, and then you will see the event ad, just click on the middle button of the screen and you will get the code.
You can now receive your event!

OK, I'm gonna admit I'm a complete noob when it comes to 3ds hacking. But fortunately I managed to run the exe, turns out I had to update my windows.

Anyway, now I have a different problem. I create the Hotspot, 3ds connects to it, Nintendo Zone app starts to glow BUT when I launch it, it says connecting the Nintendo Network and after a while it gives me an error saying nintendo zone isn't available.

Now, my region is set to UK, is this the problem? (Since we don't have an official distribution I chose UK while setting up my 3ds)

Joimme, I personally found that the Marco Polo one gives me similar issues. It just doesn't seem to work for whatever reason.

If you're looking for the distribution, you're best using the "Game Spain" option. (The Brazil one has DLC for that fashion store game, and the Pokemon Center one is in Japanese, and I'm not sure the distribution is on there.)

When I select the Nintendo Zone app it says that the service has been discontinued.

When I open my browser it says that service is not available on my location.

Guys, you need to re-read the OP.

It works with EU games and could probably work with the NTR plugin for region change for those that doesn't have an EU game.

OK, I finally managed to get a Mew! Once I got the program running, I kept trying to connect the Nintendo Zone until it succeeds. I know it sounds stupid but it worked on my 4th try. I'm so happy right now Thank you OP and everyone who helped me in the process.

Sorry for being a noob. But how does this work exactly? I've set up the nintendo zone so no issues there and I'm aware that this event might not be available in my region.

But let's say it is, would I be able to get Mew for Pokemon X/Y? If so, do I do it in-game and so on...

This event is available in Sweden from the 24th of February to the 30th of April.

thank you all for the very detailed HowTo. I did every step, however I get error code 013-9202 when searching for a Nintendo Zone in the app. (When I start my 3DS the app lights up blue, indicating that it found _something_)
Does anybody have an idea?

How do you create a new emuNAND that's on a different version from your current one? Can you downgrade from 10.5 on emuNAND?
