I recently downgraded my n3ds to 9.2, I'm using reinand cfw on emunand 10.4 and everything's working fine but now I want to know if it's possible for me to get my monster hunter 4 ultimate save file working again. I own the limited edition 4u n3ds so the game came as a download with the system. I made sure to make a backup of my save file and my entire sd card before downgrading, so at the moment it's just sitting around on my pc.
Does anyone know how to get it working again? Is it possible with savedatafiler, or did I mess up? I already installed a cia of 4u to my n3ds, thanks in advance!

If you have backup of it, you can use your preferred save manager to reinsert it. I use svdt to backup my saves and put them back on and have never had a problem. Lost all my saves but had a backup of MH4U and was able to pick up where I left off.

Did you do a system transfer? There is a homebrew app that can dump extra data if you can set the sd card back up to your mh4u 3ds with the data on it might be possible to dump the mh4u extradata and then reinsert that extdata back into the n3ds using the same homebrew.

I put my backup save on the root of my sd card and tried using svdt but my backup doesn't even show up... do you have to put it in a specific folder?

I'm sorry but I just checked and it turns out I made a typo in my original post, I never had a 3ds. Thank you anyway.

in the root of your SD, make a folder called "saveDataBackup" and place the file in there.

I tried doing this but it's still not showing up :(

I put some screenshots of my sd card in the attachments so that maybe you can see if I'm still doing something wrong.

I put s

Still nothing. Do you think something might be wrong with my svdt?

That's SDF, not SDB. What you wanna do is dump your MH4U save (if you don't have one make one), replace the user1 file in the folder it creates on your SD card (keep going in sub-folders till you find a user1 file.) and reimport. (Use SDF for all of this)
