God, I hate asking these nooby questions, but anyway, here'es what's going on:
Today I bought a 32gb sd card and transferred my emunand using this guide, but now my 2ds won't read my sd card. It syays "Cannot display the software on the SD Card. The SD Card could not be accessed". I've tried formatting the card to FAT32 and doing it all over again, but it didn't help...

The old card works fine, boots menuhax and emunand

FIXED
Turns out the 2ds does not like cheap cards, had to use the sandisk card that was on my phone. The card I bought works for everything else, just not the 3DS. Don't buy Integral brand cards

I had issues when I upgraded SD cards too. Key is to "format emunand" with GW menu on the new card, then apply the steps to move your emunand and data from the old card to the new card. Moving the data over did not work for me either, and I was advised on this forum to format the card using the GW, then repeat the steps.

That is the Nintendo software having an issue reading the FAT32 partition. Don't worry about that. Could be a million issues gone wrong with one of the original formats. "Format emunand" in GW menu will create the emunand and reformat the FAT32 partition to something readable by 3DS.

Um, doesn't OP need the card to be recognized so they can launch Gateway to format in the first place?

Can't boot off the old card and swap the card before clicking format emunand? He did mention he has his old working card.

Sounds like the SD card is a bad card. If it was a cheapy they are known to have issues when using them for stuff like this. If you can't even see it in the 3DS system from a clean format then it's probably not going to work for what you need it to.

So, I tried using the 32GB card which was in my phone, but it gave me the same error.
Then I tried using the 4gb card that came with the system. Works
I also tried an old 512mb card I had laying around, which also works.
It seems that the problem is the card's size...

I just realized, your using this partition tool, etc. You shouldn't follow that guide anymore because honestly I think it's garbage and shouldn't be stickied any longer.

emuTool has since been updated. You should use emuTool to backup your emuNAND, format your new card FAT32 as needed, restore emunand using emuTool to the new card, then copy all flat files from the old card to the new card. Done.

Additionally, don't use partition magic or whatever, just download FAT32 Format program (simple google) and use that instead.

How do I use emunadTool to restore the emunand?
I've backed up my emunand, formatted the card, now what?

The inject NAND to emuNAND just says "no emunand sd detected". Maybe I'm using the wrong tool? I'm using this

That's the right one. You may have to create a new emunand on the card after the full format, then you can inject to it. Forgot that step, it's been a while since I've had to change SD cards around!

Yes, it's as I expected, I do need to create an emunand before I restore, but since I can't get the card to be read, I can't access GW menu, therefore I can't create an emunand :(

However, I just tried my phones sd card on the 2ds again and it worked, so I'm just going to use that one, because my phone can read the one that the 2ds can't just fine, it probably has to do with the card brand. I'm trying to setup everything right now, I'll report how it went after I'm done.

So remember kids, don't buy Integral brand cards, get Sandisk or Toshiba or Lexar or any other not shitty brand, as it apparently makes a difference...
