I don't understand all the bickering, you will eventually get your piracy. May not be as soon as this exploit drops but you will get what you little fucks want.

Now read my post and compare. Hykem is talking about volnurability, even 5.5.0 was volnurable months ago too. I was talking about the dangerous claim "safe to update" and responding to those who want eshop access.
I don't know since how long you've neen looking at the wii u hacking scene, but pretty much exact same thing happens over and over again, people get so tempted to do something, get an eshop game/dlc... and they end up getting their console auto updated when nintendo releases a firmware. Then they spend the rest of the time expressing their frustration in the forums. I won't even go as far as 5.3.2, but only when 5.5.1 came out, many people got their console auto updated just cause they went to eshop that night.
Whoever wants to update to 5.5.1, try access eshop etc... That's your choice, yes we all know the volnurability is there too, yes it is possible to EVENTUALLY hack it WHEN the IOSU exploit comes out, but please "safe to update" is really not a wise claim to make. Unless you really know what you're doing and use offline updating, which in the case of 5.5.1 I no think it's possible.
"Safe to update" is a totally safe thing to say if they are on 5.5.0 already, there is literally no difference between 5.5.0 and 5.5.1 (IIRC except for the fact that something UNKNOWN likely got fixed and/or added in the browser). If you're on 5.3.2/5.4.0 then there's no need to update. But from what I can gather from Hykem's post(s) the 5.5.0/5.5.1 ISOU exploit is 100% done, he's just in the process of back porting it and making some stuff to release alongside it so it's actually useful. So if you're on 5.5.1 just make sure you have tubehax DNS setup and you're good to go.

Uhmm, you totally missed the point in my post :).

I think he was referring to that it's "safe to update" if you're on 5.5. People only say that it's safe to update when you're at that point. Obviously if you're on 5.3.2, you don't update because you would lose access to alot of homebrew, but when you're on 5.5, you don't miss out on anything at all. Homebrew works better for me on 5.5.1 than it did in 5.5.

Report: I had problems with vWii because I deleted IOS58 and hackmii didnt work. So I updated to 5.5.1 to fix this issue and it works now.

You also missed my point :D
I know what he was referring to, in fact all those before him had the same point.
My point is, in order to update to 5.5.1 you'll need to unblock nintendo servers, by doing that you simply risk having an auto-update of a new firmware if nintendo releases one, which would potentially patch maybe not only yellows8 browser exploit.... Especially since people want to update to 5.5.1 mostly for eshop access or to download a dlc, or for a game update.... That's basically what I meant by "safe to update" is not a wise statement to make, by doing that you're literally opening the window for nintendo to get their new firmware in your console as soon as they release it. I already said if someone knows what he's doing, and can update offline then that you can call it safe, but at the moment it's not possible.

Summary, yes 5.5.1 is still vulnerable, but updating to it online is a risky move, not 100% "safe". I'm saying this cause I've seen it happen with people a lot before.

The only time you should update is from 5.5.0 to 5.5.1, since you're not missing out on the public kernel exploit, if you're on 5.4.0 or below, I'd just spoof
Btw, how is that private Kernel Exploit doing? Do you know something new? Just asking.

Kernel exploit's been working for months, and I doubt they'll patch it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it works and it exists, not much to say
IOSU kernel's still in progress, I know no more than anyone else does

There has been speculation that you ported TCPGecko for IOSU exploit, is it true?

Currently there are 2 Kernel Exploits on 5.5.0/5.5.1, right?

Has anyone who hasn't lost their mind over this understood that when this is eventually released, a whole bunch of tools will be released alongside it ? If you read in between the lines of what Hykem said, as well as what smea is likely doing behind the scenes, it's inevitable. Smea bricked his wiiu presumably trying to rewrite or back up his nand. What do you think he's doing that for ? The dev's have a handle on this, and as with everything, it takes time. To all those crying about da warez, buckle up, you have nobody to blame except yourselves for allowing you systems to go beyond 5.3.2 .It is time for people to stop complaining and learn code and disassembly, myself included.
