So as the title suggests, I recently installed DIOS MIOS, but the problem was that it was crashing on certain game (Crystal Chronicles) while it was working perfectly with the DVD back up, so I decided I wanted to go back to DVD back ups, I got Nintendont anyways if I want to load off USB...

The problem is I have no idea how? I read all you need to do is install RVL-mios-v10, I did this but now the Wii resets instantly every time after it loads the disc...

Anyone got any ideas what I did wrong?

Oh now Neogamma says "DVD-R + no cIOS...

So I am guessing I need to install a cIOS but which one?

So you want to reinstall the original MIOS? Just use NUS Downloader to grab the original MIOS then install it using your favorite wad manager. As for Nintendont, all your questions are answered in the Nintendont thread's OP.

Did you even read my post? I said I had already done that, and I was merely stating DIOS MIOS was useless to me cause I had Nintendont...

I read your OP. I just read it again to be sure and your question doesn't make much sense. What're you wanting to do?

Sorry if post was confusing, basically I installed the original MIOS and now neogamma wont read games and I get the error "DVD-R + no cIOS" so I am not sure what am I am supossed to install to be able to play Gamecube DVD backups again...

Oh, NeoGamma is a bit oudated, I didn't know it was updated to use Nintendont. Just try running Nintendont by itself and see if it'll load your backup DVDs.

The problem is, even if I got Nintendont to read my DVD back up, it does not support GBA-connector which is mandatory for this specific game, that is why I need to use a DVD launcher that also supports GBA-connector, like Neogamma, that is why I am triying to figure out which cIOS to get to try to make it work. I also have a program in Homebrew Channel called "Gamecube Backup Launcher" both version 0.1 and 0.2 just freeze when launch, but they did not do the before I installed DIOS MIOS.

Yeah it does. You should go read the OP to Nintendont before you really try using it.

Well, the OP says that it supports it, but I need to go into settings, the thing is when I launch Nintedont, I only get the options of SD or USB, is there a button I am supposed to press for settings?

Also I googled it for a while and lots of sites said that Nintendont would never support GBA-connector 0_0

Select the drive you want to use. If you only have a SD card, then select that. That's where settings and everything will be saved. Then you can alter your settings and boot up your game from the disc drive.
Also, just read through the OP to Nintendont, don't read random comments about older revisions or from people that don't know what they're talking about.

Ah I feel kinda dumb, you actually had to choose one before you go to settings, I am using the GBA-connector now, and its all working fine,it would make DIOS MIOS crash tho,I assumed its because it was old and ppl told me Nintedont is better, so that is why I had to get rid of it, hopefully this works, gonna test it and confirm in a bit.

If you're loading backup discs, I believe you need to install cMIOS, not just MIOS, which (unless things have changed since the ages ago when I was messing with backup discs) would only let you play retail discs.

UPDATE!! So yeah, the game worked perfectly with GBA-connector using Nintendont, it even reads DVD backups without cMIOS as you said, problem solved! :)

Thanks a lot TecXero!!

I been trying to figure out this problem for about a week, to think the solution was simple...

Update Wii System to 4.3--->letterbomb and install updated homebrew channel--->run nintedont and change the settings.

BTW since your one of the first few people to actually help me out on this forums, just a quick question, before I had Wii Menu 4.3, my Wii would go to a menu selection that would let me choose between regular Wii Menu, HBC, and Bootmii, but now it goes directly to Wii menu, is there a way to restore this? It was just more convenient to be able to choose menus with gamecube controller >_<

Sounds like Priiloader or BootMii. If you want to mess with those, do a lot of reading on them first. If you don't know what you're doing, you could end up bricking your Wii.
