Are there any other requirements aside from being 64x64 for the alternative top screen image? I've tried to import one, but it doesn't show up on the preview.

I believe you need to import a 64x64 image for the top screen (primary). The editor will then change the top screen draw type to "solid color & texture". Afterwards it will show the top (alternative) icon pan down the screen if you have animated preview turned on.

This but actually inverted, You the Top (Alternative) one is the one that doesn't move, however the Alternative one won't do anything without the Top one also being a 64x64 image

Did that.

Didn't happen.

Also didn't happen.

Thanks, I think this was my problem. I didn't set a main one.

So, can i take a look at the PNG in question?
As for testing, here's the Stock one

EDIT: Oh, it's sorted out then

The problem is now solved, I didn't set a main top screen image.

BTW, with this editor, do I still need to add empty space around top and bottom screen images or not?

Oh, I see. So for Top (Alternative) we should use the background mask and the Top should be our normal icon?

Both are 64x64 Grayscale images, the Alternative one stays static in a pattern grid, while the Top (Normal) Scrolls down in a 45 degree angle
Check the "None" you'll see some squares don't move, they are the Top Alternative

Fun fact: in your editor, I can select disabled options with keyboard, what I can't with a mouse.

Temporarily, as soon as it loses focus, the Validation kicks in (which happens instantly when you use the mouse) and it'll go back to a valid option

EDIT: More in depth, It's just a UI Feedback quirk, validation happens when you change the value, so it never actually gets selected, but UI fails to update for some reason, so it'll update again on focus lost

Thanks for the through explanation! Believe it or not, I'm actually interested in these kind of things! :P
Now this only needs a mini image cropper/resizer and I won't need GIMP any more.

i have just com across a error for a theme. when i install the body.lz my 3ds loads but game borders and folders are static images

Any plans on supporting CWAV/Custom sound effects? At the very least I would like to use this theme editor to fine tune existing themes I've made, but using this appears to destroy the existing CWAV stuff inside the bin file as they shrink significantly in file size after modifying them with this. :(

I tried to import the CWAVs back with an older theme editor, but the result are themes that freeze Home Menu. (I think I'll have to manually reassign all the CWAVs again it looks like. :( )

EDIT: Nevermind. My custom sounds are still present. I guess this one is just making smaller bin files then the old tools did. Although ability to define custom sound effects would be a cool addition to this. ;)

Aren't the "Use * Texture" Options Checked?
I'm not sure i understood, can you provide me with the body_lz file?

The color picker is just awesome! Also, can you preview how scrolling looks like?

What do you mean by scrolling? There's the animate button that previews scrolling wallpapers, isn't it that?
