N64 emulator with very good ROM Hacks compatibility.
SNES emulator with very good ROM Hacks compatibility. (Not all SMW ROM Hacks works on Wii or vWii).
PSX emulator.

Installing VC games and injects.
Backup and Restore NAND the same way as you did on the Wii, so using an SD Card or USB.
Mod games (CTGP MK8), Newer Super Mario Bros. U (I know we have Super Mario Maker, but with Newerteams help, we can have different world maps/powerups).
Stream 3DS screen to be displayed on TV using a homebrew enabled 3DS and Wii U.
Twitch app for Wii U.
A Zelda Homebrew game.
Nintendont U. Allows for GamePad as controller support.
Allows gamesaves to be copied on the Wii U.
EmuNAND.
Video Mode swapping, NTSC, PAL. Allows for more capture card support and Wii U imports that doesn't work well on TVs.

Removing this joke poll, altough to be really honest, Loadiine for 5.5+
Not that I will use it a lot though.

I would like to be able to install 1 or 2 games on the Wii U internal memory, depending on their size. Could something like that be possible?

Gamepad control in vWii mode. If this is done, we instantly have full emulators for nes, snes, genesis, gba, etc.

First off, I'm nit exactly new but kinda since I've been around for a month and Second, all those threads that you linked talk about what it will allow, this one is about what you want the devs to make. If you have a problem with this thread, feel free to report me

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Like this one that encompasses all homebrew, not just what would require IOSU access: https://gbatemp.net/threads/wii-u-homebrew-wish-list-homebrew-idea-thread.384006/ ?
I needed a more specific one, the main discussion was going off-topic to talk about it

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

"What would you like to see from iosU exploit"? Then there's a poll "would you like a usb loader"

So basically this is just a piracy discussion?
Not really, it just encompasses piracy, and the poll is because people are very split on USB Loaders (doesn't look like it in the poll but in the main discussion, they are

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Don't care about emus, I use the original hardware with either Everdrive flash cards or ODE's.
Not my top priority either

I guess one month was enough for you to adopt that aggressive habit in responding that many kids have in this forum ^^. Relax, I'm not complaining, I was just correcting your statement "there's no other like it around." , there have been countless of homebrew wishlist based threads here, and the reason you haven't seen them is probably cause they got buried away over time when people lost interest. I'm not here to debate if this thread or the others are useful or not. But I suggest you at least keep your calm ^^ This forum has enough "hostility" already.

By the way, IOSU is not a magic wand, most of what people mentioned here (if not all) has already been possible a while ago, in fact most emulators for example were possible just with userspace access more than a year and half ago when the first webkit exploit was released on 4.1.0, with userspace we already have access to graphics and audio, it's just no one bothered to step in and work on it. Hoping this year to be different tho ^^.

Well, personally when I say GRUB-Loader, I mean more of an on boot option. So that on startup, we could launch GRUB (for example) or Wii U OS. It's true a lot can be done as is without IOSU though.

@oumoumad Also, just wanted to say, I'm aggressive by nature. Lol. I'm like a Grey Wolf on the hunt, merciless. :P

So I decided to make this thread since there's no other like it around.

I'd personally like to see:

  • An N64 Emulator
  • A Homebrew browser
  • A media player
  • An USB Loader *puts up mod shield*
And Now for the Top Pics(ranked from most to less):
  • Emulators (Top: Dreamcast)
  • Plugins (Top: Notification Mod)
  • EmuNand
  • Media Players
  • Release (Obviously over 9000)

What would you guys like to see?
Don't wanna offend you but there are quiet a few threads around already like mine (https://gbatemp.net/threads/questions-about-emunand.409701/) or the one linked inside mine by someone else.

Well we all know that even IOSU can't grant on boot exploitation, unless Hykem figures out how to exploit the MCP module bug he told us about of course ^^.
And yeah we have enough aggressive people including you, we don't need more of them man XD.

However as this seems to be a feature request thread I'm adding on
  • KODI (!!!)
  • an Android solution as a virtual machine which can be installed to the Wii U (like MEmu, Android Andy or Remix OS 2.0)
  • remote desktop tool
  • maybe some kind of server stuff as the Wii U is always on (in standby) it could share it's external HDD as NAS or an email server should be installable to it
  • being able to stream from Valve STEAM to the Wii U (or just the gamepad while I'm in bed) and use its controls like Nvidia Shield

I don't know why you guys are very interested in usb hdd support !!

Previously in wii the SD cards was very small capacity and those with higher capacity was crazily expensive , so hdd was a good idea

Now you can buy a 64gb for less than 20$US (which is probably enough for 90% of your wii u games library) and it's very portable,convenient,99% compatible (no power supply issues),doesn't failed when fall down and much more.

A good 64GB SD card is about $50. Sure, you can buy a slow and cheap one for $20. Also, 64GB fills up quickly. I have 2 64GB cards, 2 32GB cards and a 16GB card (all full) and I haven't even dumped all of my games. Being able to use an external hdd would be ideal for most people, as they wouldn't have to keep switching cards anymore.

Are you serious? Few games, few updates, few DLCs, few eShop games, few VC titles and it's full.
