They can't permapatch a Cartridge because it'd require re-flashing the ROM which would be a big no no, Best they could do is patch the eShop version which I doubt they'll do as well because Blocking the title ID would also block the cartridge and as of yet they don't have a way of using that function to block only eShop versions
In a new release for retails, they,of course, easily can, after all it's like a v1.1 release and they have done it in the past (PKMN for GBA and DS for example), with eShop, like you said, they only put the v1.1 in game like Mario Kart 7 or Smash Bros.

if it runs *hax/ninjhax then it'll have access to everything that ninjhax, ironhax, tubehax, oot3dhax, menuhax, etc.... can do
We never know on these things... since it's a new exploit in a new game, we can only guess

So force people to buy a new Retail cart? Yea that'll solve the problem.... Great let's FORCE people to spend money to play a game they already own

Because to enforce that they'd have to block it in IsTitleAllowed()

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2: that was funny, but in case you were talking seriously... these new release are for people who don't own the game (for clear obviously reasons...) or for "Greatest Hits", "Player's Choise", "Platinum's".... etc... etc...

I understand that But also it'd be a waste of money to reprint the game as most people that'll want to play it will A: Download it from the eShop, or B: Already own the Cartridge (or Alternatively C: Pirate it)
They'd lose more money in trying to fix the problem than not Which is why they haven't done that

hmmn... if you say that a new release is a waste of money... well... they recently started to send OoT to Retail Stores again, but this time the game asks for a minimum ver 4.3.0, the first release only asks for version 1.1.0...
