I've been thinking about all of the quirky errors people have been getting after downgrading to 9.2 myself... I've just been wondering if those quirks would magically be fixed if they downgraded to 9.0 instead, then did an UPGRADE to 9.2 using a complete upgrade pack (unlike, say.. Japanese N3DS having to omit a file to downgrade without bricking).

9.0 and 9.2 is just 2 files different if I am not mistaken. Don't know how big the difference of these 2 files.

I had same thought as you when I saw there is possibility to downgrade further on N3DS now. That's why I asked my second question in my previous post:

... Would it give us cleaner NAND when update back to 9.2 (for those with incomplete downgrade from >9.2)? ...

Unfortunately the US 9.2 "update pack" on that site is actually the same as the 9.0 pack. I actually extracted the files and ran a hash check on the contents and both were identical.

Idk about the actual updates, but whatever was uploaded to that iso site for the US version of the N3DS is identical to the 9.0 one. Its just 9.0 mislabeled.

Yeah. I wanted to get arm9loaderhax nice and neat for other people first, but the keys were leaked so early. I still plan to share everything once it's over and done with, assuming no one leaks info before then.
Will be looking forward to that :D Any sort of rough timeframe so far, days, weeks, months? A number of people were teasing having the OTP dump, so not too surprising that it leaked, but probably far fewer people working on an arm9loaderhax implementation.

Oh boy, hyping people on any release is the last thing I want to do. That never gets anywhere. Honestly it should be ready as soon as I can jump to larger payloads and initialize the screen, but my progress has been slow to say the least -0-.

Pretty reasonable, especially after seeing how people are hounding Hykem. All the best getting it working, however long it takes.

That's exactly what I meant. If I remembered correctly, to update from 9.0 to 9.2, all we need is install 2 titles. So there is almost no difference between 9.0 and 9.2. I used the N3DS 9.2.0-20U package from that site to downgrade the 2 N3DS I mentioned earlier. I ended up with 9.2 for both.

And one of those titles was CVer, which is updated with EVERY update, so there is really only one.

Mind PMing me the info on where you got that? Because the update packs on that iso site for 9.0 and 9.2 are identical. Like the titles have the same hash kinda identical.

And I remember people using the 9.2 update pack to update from 4.x and ending up on 9.0.

I feel like I could find an answer if i bothered to trudged through 44 pages, but screw that I'm lazy.

Is there any way to get gba vc games working on reinand? I assume I would have to install the games to both sysnand and emunand, as well as the patched agb_firm, but will they actually launch from emunand at that point or will I have to load sysnand with checks disabled? Or is this still not possible at all for N3DS?

edit:

I am well aware that, like DS games and twl_firm, that agb stuff really only ever runs from sysnand and even if I install and run it from emunand its really just running from sysnand. My question is whether or not it will launch if I install it and run it from emunand, or if it will just spit out an error?

I recently did a test with a recently downgraded n3ds I installed only on system NAND with reinand and installed agb patch, for some reason fbi wouldn't install the patch to nand. So instead I used bbm to install the patch. I never deleted an older version either and gba vc is working with reinand for me. Never tried emunand sorry

They launch from the tiles on emunand, with no errors?

Did you install the patched agb_firm to emunand, sysnand, or both? What about the cias, did you have to install them to both nands?
