It was hard, but nonetheless. It worked perfectly. I got RX-E 9.2.0-20U on my system settings on Emunand.

Please someone ask my questions.

What are the Do's and Don't's?

How do I install games?.

How do I update EMUNAND to 9.5 safely?.

Installing games: Get a cia installer. Use the fbi injecting to H&S app.
Updating emunand: Get sysupdater as a CIA and get the firms for 9.5 n3ds(your region) then boot into something like pasta or devmode and install on emunand.

@YharnamBadass NO NO NO NO do NOT boot into dev mode or pasta this will put you into into Sysnand. You can install content/games in the CIA format use FBI to install BBM (CIA Installer) to your Emunand. You can update your Emunand to 9.5.0-23 by following the instructions here http://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-how-to-update-emunand-on-a-n3ds.393701/

Already got FBI, how do I install the games? just put them on a folder and select them on FBI? that's it?.

@Xenon Hacks Damn, Bullet Dodged. what is the method then?
Use FBI to install BBM (titlemanager) then simply import CIA's from your SD card. I like to keep CIA's ready for install in a folder called CIA so it's easy to find.

Oh Thank you, I have another question, how do I access RX Mode again?. I accidentally made it so it sends me directly to Emunand without seeing the interface.

Gambia, The
rxtools just autoboot into emunand because it's setted so. Hold L while loading rxtools to force menu, then goto settings on the right side, then set force gui to true

Thanks for all the help guys, I finally managed to install some cias, BBM works like a charm. One more thing please bear with me.

How to I change themes on my emunand? (EmunNand and SysNand are unlinked btw).

is the sysupdater more stable on emunand?. I mean, It doesn't crash that often like when I was 10.3 right?. or it's the same gamble?

Sysupdater has all the permission it would need and is very stable just follow the tut I linked and for themes you can download CIA's for paid themes online and install them with BBM (going to the eShop removes them but you can just reinstall) or use CHMM2 and install custom themes that way.

install them with BBM
I saw you talking about BBM in 3 posts of yours in this thread and how not to use FBI(not what you say, but this is what you imply). Might you tell me why? I'm pretty curious because FBI is the one I use to install .CIA games on my emuNAND. A meber with ~5k posts and helping in threads would have the time to answer the question and elaborate. I'm pretty curious, because I'm new into those stuff and I wouldn't mind using another CIA manager given that the answer is complete and excludes sentences such as "It has a better GUI" and stuff like that.(eg I installed Bravely Default @ 3,5GB in 40 minutes using FBI. Would BBM install the file faster? Would it protect me from corrupted .CIAs? etc etc I want to know the technical stuff) Thanks.

FBI is a little dangerous for people who are new to 3DS hacking one bump of the L or R buttons and you can end up installing something to your NAND which would result in a brick. BBM is safer and would display an error if a CIA is not valid (since it's based off of Dev Menu) also it has a clean GUI :^)

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
