Hay everyone,
um i was wondering on 2DS how can i generate Xorpads for fire emblem if sp edition?
I'm asking this cause i would like to patch the game with the english menu translation patch that came out (v2.0), but you need xorpads of the game to patch.

for 2ds From (http://pastebin.com/x8QuNKjq#)

-PASTACFW + CUBIC NINJA METHOD: It's recommended to use Decrypt9 to generate xor pads?

or use just ninjhax 1.0 to load Decrypt9 to generate xor pads?

so all i will need to create xor pads on ads is ninhax 1.0 to load Decrypt9,
also is it safe? there no chance of bricking my ads or such by just using ninhax to create xor pads via Decrypt9?

thanx

I've uploaded the Xorpads on that certain ISO site, but if you want to make them yourself, try rxTools. It's fairly simple.

thanx for the reply, ScarletKohaku
i've seen the xor pads on that site, your post i mean.
but um mega won't let me get the file as it is over 1g and it asks for the mega app extension on mozilla.

but doesn't rxtools on 2ds cause issues like bricking?
can i just use rxtools on ninjhax 1.0?

or install rxtools liike in the guide?

Huh, I never knew about that. In all honesty, I'd just install the extension. But if you don't want to, I think you can activate rxTools via Ninjhax. It's a fairly simple process. Once you have the ncchinfo.bin, you just put it in the root of the SD card, boot rxTools and generate Xorpads. I can't speak for the 2DS since I've only ever used a 3DS XL, but I can't imagine it's any different?

As an added note, you can use Decrypt9 like the tutorial says too, I just have zero experience with that ^^"

thanx for the helpful info, scarlet. i'll try the rxtools method with ninjhax.

also for running fire emblem if sp ed, what version should my emunand be? 9.7? or 9.5?

using the CTR-tool on windows i got that the game needs firmware 9.7.

also is it safe to get the firmware 9.7 from 3DSNUS? i head that .cia updates from 3DSNUS cause bricks and such?

Update your emuNAND using System Update in System Settings - just make sure you're in emuNAND before you update. 3DSNUS isn't worth using unless you know exactly what you're doing. I don't know what firmware it needs though. I run it on my N3DS 9.0 sysNAND via Pasta so I'd imagine it's 9.5?

thanx scarlet,
i used the decrypt9 and rxtools on my 2ds on another sd card with cubic ninja,
the ncchinfo.bin that i got from decrypt9 was different from the one from rxtools,
i tried both retools and decrypt9 for generating Xorpads, at first it didn't works as i misplaced the ncchinfo.bin in the wrong place on my sd card,
i also needed the (key) for making slot0X25key.bin file, which was easy to find via google, and then i used the slot generator to get the slot25key.bin, easy :)

then, i used decyrpt9 instead of rxtools as it worked better for me and it was very easy to get the xorpads from FE IF SP :)
good for future xorpad use, and the sd card is ready whenever i need it :)

also my 2ds is fine, works like normal no bricks or such :) since it can generate Xorpads itself, then i don't really need my o3ds, LOL

the untouched version of FE IF SP ED needs FW 9.7 as the CTR Tiny Reader says, but when translated/patched with the english patcher it becomes firmware spoofed, but strangely enougth it works and loads fine in 9.4 fw?

maybe the patched spoofed it to work on lower fw or the GW launcher.dat that allows emunand 9.9?

but it works, so yeah great :)

the process of patching and such was super easy, and i have the xorpads for FE if for future menu updates/eng patch :)

does the DLC of FE: IF have updates when installed or such?

um, i have a question:
if i use my 3ds to generate Xorpads for GameX.3ds on that system and then i want to play the GameX.cia (convertered using .3ds => .cia simple converter tool) on my 2DS
can this work? or do i have to generate the Xorpads on the same system that i will play gameX.3ds/cia?

To my knowledge, Xorpads are unique to the game, not the system. You should be fine.
