Homebrew Just a question about downgrading...

Hi,

So, since recently it is now possible to install legit CIA's with FBI via an entrypoint like ironhax or homemenuhax. I also read some things about downgrading, but I am confused:

- Can you downgrade right now from 9.9 to 9.2 via a softmod?
- Will I lose my save data?
- Can someone post a link to a thread that explains the process, or explain it?

If you have games installed that need higher than 9.2, they'll be uninstalled after the downgrade so it's recommended to make backups prior. After that and you get emunand set up with fbi and bigbluemenu installed along with updated to 10.3, you can install your games back if you did it via fbi/bbm.

Also, with the unofficial new fbi app, it allows for installing legit cia files, but you still need the proper firmware to be able to install it (e.g, you cant install games needing 9.5 firm on 9.2 firm), which is why emunand is helpful with those things.

Games that require >9.2 won't be uninstalled lol, they just won't be able to run.

How? Doesn't that require kernel access?

Use svdt to extract your saves, it's a homebrew app.
