So I am having absolutely no luck with this.

I've taken the game card out of my system.

I've tried launching CHMM first.

I've tried just straight booting into FBI.

I've tried pulling game card out at the blue screen.

I've tried tapping A rapidly.

I've held L at start of FBI.

I've even tried several different files.

I have nearly 12GB free of a 32GB card.

I've tried a mix of several of these.

After 2 days I have now accepted I am one of the unlucky people that this just will not work for...

Alright, so whenever I try installing something, I get this error...

Code:
Install failed!
leet_legit_warez.cia
Source: SOURCE_AM_START_CIA_INSTALL (0x13)
Module: MODULE_NN_OS (0x6)
Level: LEVEL_PERMANENT (0X1b)
Summary: SUMMARY_WRONG_ARGUMENT (0x8)
Description: DESCRIPTION_INVALID_COMMAND (0X2f)
Press Start to continue.

I don't *think* my CIAs are illegit, if that's what it appears to be, I can find another source.

Man, my 3ds hates me today. No version of sysUpdater works, FBI doesn't work...

yea same is happening to me when trying to install this fire emblem fates cia file I got from this site I go to.

I finally got it to work after fruitless ironhax attempts.

What I did was install menuhax, then clear the 3ds homebrew folder of everything except Yeti and FBI, then as soon as the Menuhax boots into the homebrew, I remembered the location of the FBI icon and just try to tap it as fast as I can, and I finally got FBI to fully boot, and installed my very first cia (yay!).

A member here also noted taking out the back panel to easily remove the battery was also a good suggestion, although it reset my time and date, I at least spared my power button of all those attempts.

I have literally been trying for two days. And in multiple ways. Nothing works. Hell, I cant even get the memchunk2 thing to say boom or deadcafe or whatever it is supposed to say.

Just gonna give this up until they come out with a better, more stable, version.

dunno if this helps but try launching FBI directly through browserhax. works every single time on my 9.9 N3DS XL and 10.3 N3DS without having to open any other homebrew first.

When I do that, I get error "Failed to allow threads on core 1"

what about ironhax? my 9.9 N3DSXL manages to launch FBI directly 1 of every 2 tries that way

I haven't managed to install any legit CIAs on my N3DSXL 10.3. I couldn't install any on my O3DS 9.9, but I did manage to downgrade that one. Once I downgraded, I managed to install one of my CIAs as a legit one, and then I proceeded to install rxTools.

I am still trying with the N3DSXL. I've used both Menuhax and Ironhax and I haven't gotten very far. Furthest I've gotten is the install screen, but it fails to install

HOLY SHIT I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK. I DON'T KNOW WHAT WAS DIFFERENT THIS TIME, BUT ACNL IS INSTALLING WOO!

- System: N3DSXL
- Sysnand: 10.3
- Booted HBL with: menuhax
- Homebrew Version: Original Smea
- How many tries before FBI worked: ????
- How many tries before Legit CIA installation 'worked': TONS
- Did it work: YEAH

I launched HBL and pressed left on the circle pad to navigate to FBI as soon as possible. I also launched it holding the 'L' button and mashing 'A', but I am not sure if that really helped. I don't know how many times I've been trying to get it to work, but it is finally working and wow, nice. Just be patient everyone, keep trying. It is frustrating, I know, but it'll be worth it once it actually works!
