No, there are more bricks than what is listed there, take a look at that "Brick Thread" and there are many people that did follow the instructions but it still resulted in a brick.

From what I read, KTM is supposed to be safer than the actual downgrade.
Also, it is specific to n3DS so we should not have any issue...

If you can wait a bit and you've got a <10.1 n3DS, just wait for it.

EDIT: Seems that you're 3DS is an old one, right? (I think the Pikachu is an old one but I may be wrong. If it is the case, you should just downgrade because I think that KTM uses SNSHax that is working on n3DS only)

Well julian20 released a new sysupdater that goes into safe firm first then normal firm. If something goes wrong it just crashes and you can try again.
I think it's a brick safe but don't quote me on that one! Thing is, people report an error

I don't understand why people are even trying to downgrade now. It's better to wait for a safer alternative. Piracy, emuNAAD, CFW, etc isn't going anywhere.

I think for users on 9.3+ it's kinda a must right now, as N may drop 10.4 that might patch shit out again, so people on higher firmwares that want CFW or Gateway access now may want to downgrade asap.

i find it hard to believe . . . personally i skimmed the instructions and everything went as smooth as possible . . . yolo! . . . so i cant see how someone can actually pay attention and still brick

of course i may have just been lucky so my advice is wait for what is/should be safe(ish) solution (if it somehow never comes to be only then consider the current downgrade method)
