Homebrew Is it better to wait for KTM?

So, I'm seeing all these success posts of people downgrading but I'm still nervous about doing the downgrade. I could mess something up and I have a limited edition Pikachu 3DS XL and I don't want to brick it so is it safer to wait for JustPingo's app to be released?

i suggest you to wait for KTM as well! we probably will get it by the end of next week if Pingo isn't busy

From what I read, KTM is supposed to be safer than the actual downgrade.
Also, it is specific to n3DS so we should not have any issue...

If you can wait a bit and you've got a <10.1 n3DS, just wait for it.

EDIT: Seems that you're 3DS is an old one, right? (I think the Pikachu is an old one but I may be wrong. If it is the case, you should just downgrade because I think that KTM uses SNSHax that is working on n3DS only)

SNSHax is no longer being worked on. KTM is not SNSHax, and is not specific to the N3DS.

No, JustPingo stopped working on that awhile ago. His app will work for both the old and new 3DSes.

Great, I did not follow the project, I'm just waiting for it to be released so I was not aware about it.
Anyways, seems to be a good news. Definitely, just wait for it. You can already download the downgrade files on that iso site and it seems that the file will be check before installation. Seems definitely way more secure.

Someone posted a download link on here to the ttp files and I downloaded that. That's the correct file right?

just wait for when KTM is released Pingo will put a step by step how to use it

According to that iso website thread, the ttp file is the only file that the app needs so do not extract it or whatever, just put in on the SD.
