Hacking Need Help With CFWs and CIAs

So recently, (today) I downgraded my N3DS XL from 10.3-28E to 9.2.0-20E.
Me, being a complete noob, don't know how to get CFWs or set up CIAs.
I tried to use http://gbatemp.net/threads/wip-complete-custom-firmware-guide.396349/ to try to set up cfw, but....
I couldn't find a way to boot CakesFW, and ReiNand CFW would boot up to a complete black screen in the Homebrew Launcher
Basically, what I'm asking is for someone(s) to give me a step-by-step guide to install a CFW and FBI(my first CIA)
please be tolerant, im a complete noob at CFW and actually am suprised I was even able to downgrade my n3ds(after 65 tries obviously)

btw, which CFW do you recommend? I'm a noob, if that provides info on which one to recommend

if you cant find a way to use cfw then the downgrade tool you used didnt completely downgrade you to 9.2
