You are all misunderstanding here. I stated I was going to stop because I'm reaaally confident that they will release their work before me.
Plus, I had already predicted this would happen a long time ago. I had the feeling that if we would ever get close that some other group would release their stuff.
In my view, the Wii U scene will be in much more capable hands with them.

If they chose not to release, or if the exploit they developed was patched before 5.5.0, I see no reason to not release my work.
However, I strongly doubt that because I had already told naerhwert where to look for the bug I'm using.
Doesn't mean that's the one being used, but only they can confirm that.

You know they're just attention whores and won't release anything.

They only release stuff that can run their shitty useless homebrew software. They'll never release nothing like emunand with sig checks patched.

Ok so hykem basically has 5.5.0 done and is doing the boot loading stuff, These guys however are WAY further ahead than him!
So he's letting them take over as he feels no need to release something similar whilst being slower to release than these guys

So our exploit should be coming even sooner than usual, this is great news, depending on their numbers it should be MUCH QUicker!!!

So for Hykem he said he'd release before February!!
Pluto and co could have it out way sooner, maybe even mid January!!!

So no one fret, this is BRILLIANT!!!!

Apart from naehrwert, they've all held off on releasing kernel exploits for the 3DS for years to try to prevent widespread piracy, or at least to prevent themselves from being associated with widespread piracy. I'd be very surprised if that stance changes with a different console.

He said hes gonna releasing his work if plutoo wont release it.
Hes not butthurt. Hes not insulting plutoo or anyone else. He things logically and doesnt care about the fame he may get when finishing it, when theres already someone else working on it.
Il think its a more mature beahviour, than most of other hackers got out there. Why spend time on something, if someone else is working on it. Time is more valuable than anything else in life.

Who said I'm butt hurt? This is actually a relief. Having them taking over the Wii U scene saved me from a lot of headaches.
I'm a bit annoyed at myself for tooking longer than I desired, but I always shared what I had.
It was a race to get there and I lost, that's all.

yeah back in the 3.55 ps3 days I had them plug in consoles until we found one on lower than 3.55. all depends on the gamestop and the worker I guess.
