someone has requested I build KernelTimeMachine, however this has a bigger chance of bricking since it can and will make changes to the NAND. should I do this?
Don't build it. Better safe than sorry. Also, KTM can't built because it misses some dependencies, (I tried forking the repo before to make an UI for it)

You can, but I wouldn't recommend testing it w/o hardmod, and without kernel access implemented you can't use it.

BY COMPILING IT YOU'LL RISK THAT PEOPLE WHO CAN'T WAIT FOR A STABLE RELEASE WILL BRICK THEIR CONSOLES.
DO. NOT. COMPILE. KERNELTIMEMACHINE.
Caveat installor, as they say. GBATemp needs the Cyanogenmod disclaimer...

The thing is if you try to run it you will eventually fall in a dead end, because I didn't call the install function in the menu. Even if it is present, it is never called. Reminds me of some svcBackdoors...
Is there any way to build it? I wanted to make an UI and an even more noob-proof security step

If the user was techsavy enough to do anything useful with the compiled version they'd already have the skill to compile it themselves.
Since they can't compile it themselves then they probably have no real business fiddling with it at this point, as they likely don't understand the current risk and safety measures to take.

I think that's a fair enough assessment.

Ok, good to hear that it's not fully working yet. Honestly, you should not push changes to github until memchunkhax2 is stable... just in case.
