Everyone is out of stock or on backlog from pre orders so you will have to wait a bit but why would you want a sky3ds+ with a downgrade solution coming soon?

Correct you can downgrade and setup rxTools also we are going to see dozens of sky3s clones very soon since the method of the cart is now public.

well depends when the solution comes out,

But if its a simple downgrade then all you needs is just the SD/MicroSD card in your 3ds the larger the better (for more games) and RXtools

Expect maybe this week or early february (My estimates). I was gonna buy sky3DS but thank god the 32c3 talk appeared. I'd buy a larger SD card instead, but it's wise to just wait for news.

I bought one so the plus of having one is .3ds support and sysnand usability. Also you can plug and play on any firmware 3ds but .cia is just as convenient.

From reading the official review of the Sky3DS+, it seems like the advantage of using this product is to keep your 3DS untouched, to not go through the lengthy process of downgrading, and to never worry about official firmware updates. For a noob like me, would you recommend me spending the $100 on the Sky3DS+ (I have an ambassador N3DS on 10.3)?

I personally would suggest to just wait for news. Although I'd recommend to just spend your cash for a bigger memory card and just downgrade (if ever memchunkhax2 took off). And it's definitely not for piracy alone, downgrading is much more beneficial as the system is now unlocked.
