hey guys i was wondring what ya think about this Lenovo G51 laptop.

Cost - $300 US

RAM - 8DDR3

Storage - 1TB

CPU - AMD Quadcore A8

GPU - Intergrated Graphics

Ok I really like it so far beceause im looking for a laptop under 300 bucks and this one seems like a huge bang for the buck with those specs (most i have seen in this range are only 4gb of ram and 500gb of storage).I have checked around and have checked pawnshops and they have absoluty nothing and neither does craigslist (atleast for my price)

What i plan on using it for is document editing (via word or libre office), light gaming (pre 2010 or so), emulators (up to dreamcast), and webbrowsing.

Gaming examples are HalfLife 2 (no mods or anything just basic), TF2 (basic hopefully at 720p), Minecraft (low settings), Oblivion ( There is some mod for weaker PCs I plan on using), DOA2 on Dreamcast (the hardest game i heard to play on dc emulators), and indie games (including super meat boy, undertale, and others on probably low settings).

Anyway what do you think about this laptop?

Not a fan of AMD for mobile processors. Not terrible for the price though, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for dreamcast emulation.

It won't be the best at emulators, but for everything else it should do fine. I think $300 is a good price for it.
Thanks for the feedback! I know its not the best at emu since its an amd but I wasn't sure how hard Dreamcast emulation was as I thought it was with psp,ps2 and gc when that Intel really helped but anyway I'll check it out some. But all in all in really liking this laptop so far and if I don't get it soon I'll probably save up till march for an I3.

Careful about the keyboard/mouse quality though. That seems to be the first cost-cutting place for cheaptops.

I know I have checked it out and it seems good so far and I plan on using a BT mouse since I don't like touch pads
Ok, then you're fine. I was just saying because I bought a G50 a week ago and the mouspad's buttons are way too stiff and small.
Otherwise, it's a good laptop for the money.
