I installed the cia now, and launched it, but the screen stays red?

Did you place the homebrew launcher (boot.3dsx) at the root of the sd card?

Yes i am. I loaded RXTools, used BBM to install the CIA, unpacked it, launched it, it iniated some things, various colors, then stayed red.

You still need to place the homebrew launcher 3dsx at the root of the SD card, even if you're booting through the CIA.

You can get HBL 3dsx in the Homebrew Starter Pack on Smea's website.

And, as Asia81 said, make sure you have a functioning internet connection!
