Everything, I mean... seriously? Even if your way works, it's dumb.
And, you can't really call that USB access without IOSU.

O.O
I guess the devs were wise for not going further with that method ^^.

What I mean is, we can put stuff on USB, but it's not what everyone wants when they say USB access. And in the same way, we can put stuff on the console itself, since we will have to transfer it through the Wii U to USB anyway.

The same thing could be done on PS4, if someone really wants to. PS3 also has/had a buggy webkit browser, so can probably find an entry there too somewhere. Wonder if anyone even bothers looking for PS3 exploits anymore.

Well, I just assumed for laymen (like me) , USB access = being able to load games with Loadiine from a USB drive. So in that sense, yes it is possible to load your games through your USB drive, you just need to format it to the Wii U's format, which means the only way to actually put your game files in it is that method above. I don't know much about PS4 (Seriously is there a backup loader I didn't know about on PS4 ??) nor the PS3, I was just talking about Wii U and how people were like IOSU = USB access (which is right in a sense) but it is already possible to access USB without IOSU exploit. It's just gonna be so long and frustrating to put your games in USB.

Anyway when it is released, it doesn't mean we can use everything out of the box.

Current software needs to get ported and new to be developed.

First thing is access to eShop and Nintendo Services without update worries (until Nintendo releases a new FW).

The day online gaming comes available with loaders, everyone gets free tickets for the bantrain riding it all along ^_^
Hans Plus for WiiU anyone?

Appearently USB access has always been possible, even without IOSU exploit. All you need to do is have your USB in the correct format (Wii U encrypted format), which means you would always need to put your stuff into that USB through Wii U to be able to use it. And for that you would need to transfer your files using the current exploit through network or through an sd card in the wii U to the USB that you want to use. That procedure can be so long and frustrating.
Maybe you could format a USB, then someone could use a USB loader program on ze laptop similar to how the Wii program works

Loadiine is basically HANS for Wii U...

It's used to make a game load other files.
Oh, true, but could you make eshop load files to let you pass through it without it locking you out since you might be on a lower firmware. Also, what if you want to get Project M for Smash 4? Can you do that on loadiine?

It can load even the executables from different games... of course it would be able to load modified files from the same game.
(You can load a Mario Kart 8 packed with all the DLC)

EDIT: There's Cafiine

Can cafiine load textures and stuff that's not on the disk but rather on a USB or SD card or shared folder?

Hykem exploit looks effing great but, since I'm on 5.3.2, I'm more interested in a fully featured game loader like USB Loader CFG and full speed GBA emulation so I can play them GBA games on that awesome Wii U gamepad.
