It doesn't look like they brick anymore as per:
It looks like they now display a message when they detect DSTWO+

I guess anyone with DSTWO+ now using Gateway cannot say they didn't know anymore, as this clearly says it all :rofl2:

I don't suppose that means that they removed the brick code... This would be more PC (simply flashing a warning and prevent the use of the rom selection, etc...)
I wonder if they detect it every time without fail, or only randomly.

1. That sucks. You can try emailing them or create on their support forums over at maxconsole
2. Lol, I had the same problem. But I got used to it now, it's much faster this way, just tap it very lightly
3. You need to put a folder called "cheats" in the root of the microSD (GW red card) and then inside put a file called "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.txt" with xxx the number of the game's id. This id is displayed top right in the ingame menu.

I have the cheats folder... So I have to create a file manually ? FFS.. Defeats the purpose of a built in cheat editor if I have to manually save the cheats. It means shutting the 3DS down and removing the card all the time. Which in all honesty isn't much different to the spider method (aside from not needing to dump the ram).

How do you tell the difference when searching for 8bit, i6bit and 32 bit codes?
I think 8 bit values range from 0-255 but i dont know the rest.

Also, what is signed and unsigned and exact search?

It still better than switch to NTR then use NTR Client and cheatengine to search for cheat, you know? :teach:

Thanks.

Do you know the difference between signed, unsigned and exact searches?
exact searches are looking for a specific number (example, if you have 5 coins when making a dump, youd search for 5 in 8 bit exact value)

About the others, i dont know. I have never had to use those.

You can enter cheats in the cheatlist editor and they are "live" when you exit the ingame menu. They are even still there when you re-enter the menu. They just aren't saved to a file in the cheats folder.. Maybe they should add that though.

But it definitely does not mean you need to shut down the 3DS. You can just exit the game and pop out the GW red card to put a cheats file.
