viwii? Don't you mean vWii?

And what do you mean by you updated to 4.1? Do you mean 4.1.0?

Perhaps you should explain a little better. Anyways, I think, since you updated your Wii U side after you hacked your vWii side, it's kinda fucked up the vWii because it might have possibly updated the vWii's IOSes during that update.

Try changing the resolution in Wii U settings to 480p before launching vWii.

I know it sounds stupid, but some TV/Wii U combo's don't play well together, or some Wii U's develop a disease. I dont know much about it. If I had to take a real guess, it got hot and a ball detached from chip/motherboard so it can't upscale correctly.

The reason why certain Wii U/TV combinations won't work is because those TVs/Monitors don't support YCbCr (I think it was YCbCr 4:4:4 or 4:2:2) which is what the Wii U uses while it's in vWii mode... or something like that. 480p works because of... reasons (I think HDMI automatically chooses RGB at lower resolutions). Either way it's a simple fix that for whatever reason Nintendo refuses to fix..

Ok. Personally I don't care nor have the problem, but I thought almost every TV that have component/hdmi input, support YCbCr and not RGB. Not the other way around. I've never come across a TV that has Component that doesn't say Y Cb Cr at the ports anyway, so it seems silly to throw it away for HDMI. Hell, most Blu-Rays and DVDs are encoded with YCbCr afaik.

That sucks though. Lol.

Ok, just tried changing the resolution to 480p and it works, changed back to 1080p and its green again.
Surley the wii can function at 1080p?

Anyone got any ideas?.

Again what happened was:

Brand new wii , lego back on old firmware.
Ran indiana jones and installed homebrew channel, backed up nand and turned off for the evening.
This morning ran bayonetta 2 to pdate firmware to 4.1
load vwii and its green screen

This is really strange. I thought the white was being green, but black -> green? Could you post a photo of the Wii menu?
