I am trying to enable homebrew on a friend's 3ds. It is currently at 9.7.0-25U. I downloaded the starter package, then scanned the QR Code, went to the browser, zoomed the page all in and clicked in the Far right side of the slider, but it just throws me back at the main menu with an "An error has ocurred" message. Any clues why it isn't working?

You have to try it a LOT of times. It's very unstable.

Make sure you donwloaded the correct otherapp payload for your version on smea's site, and put it on the root of your sd card as "browserhax_hblauncher_payload.bin"

Browserhax doesn't require you to download any payload. It does so on its own with the website and the browser.

Do NOT do this! Browserhax downloads the payloads for you!

EDIT: I was Ninja'd :ninja:.

mm i cant get it to work on N3DS 9.6.0.24E, am i doing it right by just scanning the QR code that is on the page? not downloading anything or adding any outside files to sd card?

Turn off wifi, scan QR code, once the browser says " I can't, no wifi!" Then exit out the browser then turn on wifi then go back into the browser

You haven't downloaded the homebrew launcher, you need to have it at the root of your SD card.

browserhax will look for sdmc:/boot.3dsx, and homebrew launcher reads homebrew from sdmc:/3ds/. They have to be in folders with a .3dsx and a .smdh inside named the same as the folder.

Yes i do, i have the boot.3ds in my root of my SD and the folder with the launcher inside the 3ds folder (I downloaded the "Starter" file from the Smea webpage)

Id keep trying, turning and going back into the browser. Stuff like that happens all the time. If retrying doesn't work, try a video. I don't know what else to do if it still doesn't work

That was directed at the other person who posted above me.

Also try clearing browser cache and cookies.

once you hit the far right of the slider, spam A. thats how I got into it. And install themehax ASAP.

Nothing, i click the slider and i get a "An error has ocurred message"
Try this:
  1. Clear your cookies and cache.
  2. Turn off your internet.
  3. Close the tab with the Browserhax website on it.
  4. Manually type in the Browserhax website via the URL option.
  5. Exit the browser.
  6. Turn on Internet.
  7. Go back in.
Also, make sure you don't have boot.3dsx or menuhax_temp.bin on your SD Card and then put the 3ds folder on your SD card and put in at least one homebrew.
