Time to clear the air again. :rolleyes:

The following statements are facts:
- I have successfully compromised the Wii U's IOSU;
- The exploit being used works from 2.0.0 up to 5.5.0, but it obviously needs to be ported for each firmware;
- The exploit doesn't need PPC kernel access, so the new kernel exploit won't have to be released.

I want to do some kind of Christmas surprise yes, but take that with a grain of salt. I can't promise I will have the time to get everything ready by then and I'm not disclosing what will be released.
Keep in mind that releasing the exploit "as-is" is pointless, so it will have to be ported first and most likely obfuscated so it will take a little longer to patch. It's also worth noting that I will have to develop an easy way to block updates so no one updates past 5.5.0 by accident.

If you don't believe in anything stated above, that's not my problem. The best (and easiest) thing to do is wait and see.
Will Loadiine work? Thanks for the exploit! :D

What exactly will work with IOSU when it's released?
the same day? probably nothing lol.
People need to develop/port stuff for it its an entrypoint for further stuff to be created but when it will be released it wont do anything for the end user until people actualy develop stuff for it.

Do you guys think it is wise to update to 5.5? Since the IOSU exploit is going to support the latest firmware anyway?!

Nope, updating is generally always the wrong move. Don't be an idiot, stay on as low a firmware as you can manage until more facts are known. Once the exploit is released, you can do whatever you like.

Hello everyone. I've bought a Wii U with a firmware 1.0, is there something that could be useful to try (for helping hack teams) before i update to 4.1?
I'm updating for use loadliine

No, 1.0 doesn't even have a web browser. If I were you, I'd update to 4.1 or 5.0 (better 5.0, as it doesn't miss new libraries).

I think that 1.0 is pretty unstable, that's why Nintendo released an 2.0.0 update on day 1.
You should update to some other Firmware, that's way too low, nobody will do Homebrew for 1.0. (I think)
IOSU is compatible with FW 2.0.0 to 5.5.0, that's what Hykem said.

well thats because iosu uses bowser to enter and 1.0 doesnt even have one lol only 2.0 and up have it xD

So no hope for Cafiine or SDCafiine to work on launch of the IOSU? Unless Hykem has already ported it himself beforehand

You already got a no.

The only exception is if someone works on it before launch, so likely no.

Just keep using your kernel-exploit till something usable comes of the IOSU?
