@Imparasite did you forget to have your meds? Also everyone that's speculating iosU and asking for 7.0 firmware hacks!!! Can we give it a rest just for one hole week? Even one hole day would be great!!

its my own honest opinion that's all, if people thinks its offensive then be it. oh btw i didnt forget my meds ahaha did you need one or weeds? LOL

I remember that he said IOSU 5.5.0, Kernel Exploit,etc will be released at same time but @zecoxao said something about 5.3.2.
i stand corrected. if Hykem says it'll work up to 5.5.0, then it'll work to 5.5.0. that doesn't change my statement about the date though.

Oh that's amazing news then :D, it seems if what you claim to happen in 24th trully happens, it'll change a lot in the scene ! The retroArch folks will finally be motivated to port it to Wii U, since most users can benifit then ^^. With how Dimok is preparing Loadiine to be homebrew friendly, by 2016 we might have a lot of interesting stuff in Wii U ^^.

Does anyone know where i can find the id for the 1.7 update for EUR hyrule warriors? I installed the wiiubrew update (0005000E-1017D900), but thats for patch 1.3.

edit: Seems changing the V48 to V128 worked.

If was hykem exploit will work up to 5.5.0, if was naehrwert exploit will work up to 5.2.0 (or he port to 5.3.2). That is the question.
Nobody knows (only you maybe), we can wait till 24th.

Time to clear the air again. :rolleyes:

The following statements are facts:
- I have successfully compromised the Wii U's IOSU;
- The exploit being used works from 2.0.0 up to 5.5.0, but it obviously needs to be ported for each firmware;
- The exploit doesn't need PPC kernel access, so the new kernel exploit won't have to be released.

I want to do some kind of Christmas surprise yes, but take that with a grain of salt. I can't promise I will have the time to get everything ready by then and I'm not disclosing what will be released.
Keep in mind that releasing the exploit "as-is" is pointless, so it will have to be ported first and most likely obfuscated so it will take a little longer to patch. It's also worth noting that I will have to develop an easy way to block updates so no one updates past 5.5.0 by accident.

If you don't believe in anything stated above, that's not my problem. The best (and easiest) thing to do is wait and see.

If you don't mind me asking, which firmwares are currently in need of porting? I would assume all firmwares but 5.3.2 and 5.4.0 but please enlighten me :)

Now that we've all got our answers, let's all just remember that the less we bug Hykem (stop tagging and quoting him), the more he is going to be able to accomplish, and in less time.

Would you rather have more info now and something released later, or less info now and something released sooner (that will then answer the info you are seeking).

Hypothetical questions can wait until it's released. We don't need any other information than what has been generously given now. It is coming soon™

just wondering, when you say that the wii U's IOSU is compromised, does that include the IOSU kernel mode ? i guess so, but better be safe ^^
