Christmas is near and I think it's time to acknowledge the hard work of the master minds that make all of this possible. There are a lot of us in here that don't contribute because of the simple reason that everything is beyond our understanding. So, all of you out there, be it lurkers or people that are active in the discussions, show your appreciation to these tech wizards! Thank you, your work is amazing and much appreciated!

Although the Wii U hackers are always appreciated throughout the year anyway, I guess I can take the time now to properly thank them.

So thanks! :D

Thanks guys, Nintendo charge £40 a game, yes, a game!!! It's a lot of money but it's 2015 and there are hard working, gifted hackers who are here to give us everything for free

Splatoon, smash bro wii u, New super mario bros U, Wonderful 101, Kirby,Zelda Wii U so many fucking games that we can get for free

I freaking love Nintendo but they overprice all of this so thanks guys, we deserve games for $0

WOOOOOOOT, YARGH YARGH, BEING A PIRATE IS AWESOME

While being extremely simple and a nice idea, i couldn't help but think to me, that this thread, along with its title gotta be the most accurate reflection of what a major part of this community of this forum is in multiple ways, really.
I won't go into detail as there is some intentional room for interpretation in that statement.

I definitely like the general attitude of it, either way^^

Thank you devs, for this early christmas present :D I've been waiting a long time for this as I'm sure many others have. Can't wait to see if homebrew and emulators start to spring up soon!

This would have been good to post on Thanksgiving time! (Americans)
I'm very thankful for any kind of hacks. I love changing what my devices can do, I hate to leave them basic. As soon as I heard that the Wii U can be modded in some way, I bought one right away and just on time for Cyber Monday! Got my Wii U for $250.

You must not be on 5.3.2 eh?
Yeah. I connected my Wii U to the internet without blocking updates. Now it's on 5.4.0. I let it update because I was afraid of it bricking.
I removed the connections after, but then my mom+brother connected to the internet again to play Mario Kart online and updated it to 5.5.0.
They don't want to sell it, or buy one with 5.3.2. Hell, they probably don't even want to drive me anywhere for Craigslist posts. Cunts.
tl;dr I'm fucked
