Looks very easy to patch.

Let me know when you do it ;) We can start a piracy company and make millions.

It's one of the weirdest, most convoluted setups I've ever seen. Essentially this flashcart doesn't tackle encryption or signature checks in any native way, it just sends the requests from the Vita to a distant server that requires the real game in order to work and returns the response back to the system which then reads the ROM, thinking it's the real cart. A very bizarre way to solve the checks problem, it really is.

Yeah. This just shows that a company with real money and real incentives to hack the vita can't even do it. I've always said that I welcome the day something like Gateway will come just so I can reverse it and enable homebrew; but I doubt that will happen.

The only thing I had learn from all of my piracy years: Never buy a flashcart before its first update.

Of all thing possible, it could block or even brick your console if it went wrong. Or it could been blocked by an update and render the thing useless.

So basically:

1) Plug the Fin Dongle into your Vita game slot (it sticks out of the top like an antenna) with a microSD with the .iso of a game you want to play inside it
2) Plug the Fin Box into your PC, the Fin Dongle and Fin Box talk to each other wirelessly
3) Connect the Fin Program on your PC to the Cluster Farm server you want to use
4) Select the corresponding game on your Vita and on the Fin Program (The Cluster Farm you are using must have the game on it to work)
5) The server will authenticate the .iso over the internet with the Cluster Farm server and launch the game on your Vita

Additionally, you can plug a game card into the Fin Box and share it with your friends online, too!
If that's the process then it's better to just purchase the games either physically or digitally. Still, nevertheless, it is an interesting piece of tech but I just use my Vita TV for PS1+PSP games so I'm settled.

Just when I was doubting to buy a vita last sveral years. And now spend 400 euro on games.. a vita flashcard appears after 2 months of me buying it LOL

Oh well, I have strong reactions to wifi so it's probably better anyway since it seems wifi only for now.

I'm curious. Since it sends the request over the internet, lets another device handle it and send the response back, couldn't Sony easily patch it by checking the response speed? I doubt there's any real delay to speak of when checking from the internal Vita card slot, and even if there was, the Blackfin would have to deal with that + internet delay.

I would be plenty happy if someone just came up with a uSD Card-> Vita Memory card adapter, nevermind a flashcart....
I can picture something like that in my head but considering how small the ps vita memory card is i was thinking a adapter would be like this, 1 side of it is a ps vita memory card shaped piece that goes inside of the ps vita while the other part that is attached to it is a sd card adapter like piece where you put a micro sd card in but it would stick outside of the system hanging from it.

Meh. Not that interested in piracy on the Vita, I want homebrew to see what it can do as even at the bare minimum PPSSPP ported across on that screen with upscaling and those analog controls will make it the ultimate Wipeout machine.
