I haven't looked into it much myself, but I was just wondering, is it possible to broadcast for Smashhax from a rooted Android device?

KINNDAA... but that won't allow aireplay-ng... kali toolkit on nexus devices might be of some help... just saying.
Maybe something like Custom ROMs (CM seems closest to stock) could make it universally available to other Android devices? After all, I remember hearing about amiibo hacking requiring CM for some kind of permission...

Yeah... Kali is the only one making these... so look into that. It's a custom rom. Can you link me to the amiibo hacking bits?

Doesn't work :/
Maybe so, but at least we know now that CM has "enhanced" permissions. Changing the subject a bit, maybe we could use a linux distro inside Android if Android wouldn´t allow it. I remember seeing over at XDA someone found a way to run Windows 7 in an ASUS Zenfone. Replacing the Windows image with a Linux LiveCD maybe could do the trick.

You could do that with any rom. Root is just a binary in sys. But anyway. Do you HAVE a zenphone? Because certain phones have certain BLs that allow for those kind of things... keep in mind. Just look up kali android.

Have been reading the thread, seems all phones with x86 processors (or theorethically, a really beefy phone that could translate ARM to x86 and vice versa) and a kernel with the correct features (which will require unlocked bootloaders for flashing) will be enough. Also, the process is fairly similar to installing Kali, so it sholud be fairly easy. (But not cheap, mind you).
P.D.: here is the thread on XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/zf2-running-windows-7-using-kvm-t3153299

OR. OR. OR. Just modify a kali rom for your device.

or we could use the already available method of chrooting Linux on rooted Android devices with ARM processors using the Android terminal emulator and bootscripts and a Linux image, and then by compiling Smashhax for ARM then we need a way to broadcast using an Android device. if it requires monitor mode then some broadcom chipset Android devices can be enabled to have monitor mode with Bcmon.apk and root privileges. It can be done but it'll have to be compiled for chrooted Linux running in the background on Android and VNC to access the GUI. honestly seems more likely than an Android app as no one would probably make an app of Smashhax.

Maybe a script could be used with all the instructions, even at boot time with init.d.

Yeah but why go through all of that when there's a shell running below the Android skin?

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
