If you guys are up to making the whole game you should contact the creator and talk about the idea. If it needed the game's files there's a sound chance he would approve it (and maybe even help you with some things).

I feel it'd be better if they waited a bit longer until they have something more significant to show. Then they can show Radiation their progress and let him decide.

Yeah, of course. It's really too early, and maybe they even don't want to do it. Focusing on the demo now maybe it's the best idea.

Beaten the game twice, working on a third run that's significantly...more difficult.

I would love to carry this game in my pocket without needing a laptop, so I'm rooting for the project.

If Mario Paint composers, Lunar Magic and other ROM hacking tools, emulators, fangames, Sonic 2 HD, etc. get away without any issues, I'm sure a port of Undertale would be fine.

If the creator or others working on it don't own Undertale I could probably point them the right way to get ahold of one.

If it's assets that need ripping I could look into that too.

That's not the issue. I'm only speaking for myself here, but I respect Toby, so I'm not going to do something he doesn't want with his game, especially if it allows for people to get it for free. I'm not against piracy, but I'm not exactly for it. It's a complex thing. That being said...
I'm still going to contribute to this as much as possible. I hunger for the experience of doing this. It fills me with determination.

Yeah I'm not against piracy but not exactly for it in some situations... Especially the indie game development scene as it's harder for the game devs to make money... I haven't bought it for myself yet but when I get the money I'll definitely smack down the $10 for it without a second thought

Okay! I have successfully ripped everything. I'm going to look through the files for Toriel's house and such.
