also is there a way to DL the official badges as PNG images somewhere? or to get them off of our 3DS's? if there is we could totally make a library of official (and well made unofficial ones!) badges that you could pick from at will. that's just the thing i've been wishing for since i found out about badge arcade!

other what*?
You can merge your data with Februarysn0w's, she has a lot of badges.
*other badge tool.

I don't think so? merging badges with february's just replaces your own badges. sometimes you can to the badge arcade and have it readd your official badges but obviously that doesnt work with this method.

Ah, you're right. I just pushed an update to make the transparency far more accurate to the original image, try redownloading and running it now.

Thanks. I download the update and no extra pixel.

Im so happy for have baseball badge ^^ thanks

I can't seem to get this to work, each time I run the tool It claims to work successfully, but when I open up the badge placement button my 3ds crashes with an error has occurred. v10.3 Am I perhaps doing something wrong? I just resized some .png's I had lying around to 64x64 and put them in the folder.

that's very odd crimson. did you try a reboot?

also what would be cool is if you could put a picture of 128x128 and have the program automatically cut it into 4 pieces. no idea if that's even possible though.

I did and still got the error message. I even tried with the premade .png's in the folder by themselves. Also using an old 3ds and Ironhax if it matters.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Now I am getting an error message in GYTB that says "file is in use please load all badges in your badge case before launching" if that helps at all.

Hmm. This is just a total guess, but... if you're on 10.3, try opening Badge Arcade to reset the data, and then run it again and see what happens.

Already did just that more than once unfortunately. The best I've gotten is for the badge case to open for a split second then crash. I'm going to try to dump my BadgeData.dat and open it up with another tool to see if they appear in that.

If it still crashes even then, the fault is likely with GYTB, which only fills out the minimum possible information to get the badges to appear, rather than trying to make all the fields valid. I'll try and do something like that.

In the meantime, badge shortcuts have been added. use them with the latest version by naming the badge badgename.TIDLow.png or badgename.TIDLow.anything.png

Alrighty thanks, still want to look at the BadgeData.dat though just to see if the .png's are being injected or if it is just my 3ds (which it probably is :P)

Oh nice! Now I really want to get this working! Will also see if the new version randomly fixes my issue haha.

You know the badges you can get from the arcade that take you when to the eShop when opened, or something to that effect. And yes, the zip will always be up to date.

"Your HOME menu is full. No more data can be added to it." When I try to place more than one badge. What's wrong? :T

Sorry to bother you again, but I just wanted to report that new version did not randomly fix problem, and everything looked good when I opened up the BadgeData.dat (no corruption on the pictures that may have messed things up.) I wonder is there a possible folder I can delete on my sd card to maybe reset it from scratch? (like with the home menu) Anyway thanks for your hard work! (Also probably unrelated but just thought I'd mention that I noticed that when I tried to inject a new one using the other tool and restore the BadgeData.dat using ext_dump I got an error saying the file could not be replaced or something along those lines. Maybe my 3ds is just weird haha)
