Hi, I am looking for 3ds capture cards. However, loopy's been nonexistent for 5 months now and I don't want to ship my 3ds xl to katsukity in Japan and wait 4-5 months to get it back.

So I am here asking any ideas on how to install /make a capture card for 3ds XL? Is it possible if I buy the capture card separately from katsukity and have him ship it to Canada? How would I go about doing it? If that works out, does he give you instructions on how to solder the card into the 3ds?

Also, tell me you guys' success stories of installing a capture cards yourselves.

Honestly it's probably better to just buy a 3DS with a capture card preinstalled than to even consider sending your 3DS to Japan since the capture card costs more than the 3DS itself and shipping all the way to Japan + import taxes would not be cheap...
That is unless your current one is on a hackable FW and you want to use the capture card in conjunction with CFW.

Yes, my 3ds is exploited with gateway at firmware 4.2 and it's an XL, so more the reason get it installed rather than risk buying a new one preinstalled.

I'm in the same situation man and I have a NewXL. Loopy died(Not literally) and sending mine to Katsukity will take forever. Though I once bought a 3DSXL with the Capture Card from Katsukity and it arrived exactly in 4 days counted. But that was when none knew Katsukity and everyone was buying from Loopy cuz hes was 100% working on the capture cards.

The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye: quite a tight bend on that 8pin->12pin adapter in my case, which is the worst case scenario, but...
