First question: Why don't you try for yourself after backup 2.1 HAX (I mean keep the 2.1 folder. If you use themehax, back up the payload ropbin on the root of your SD)?

I notice Hax 2.5 (themehax), has a better boot rate and boot speed than Hax 2.1. You can also access Eshop on SYSNAND without having to install CFW & firmware spoof.

Can confirm that it works! Used my old pasta boot.3dx to auto load upon CN launch. Eshop errors out for me but I'm not too broken over that. Thanks!

Thank you! That will be really useful!
For auto-boot themehax you have to get your timing right, to be able to boot into Pasta CFW menu (to enable/disable firmlaunch):

Turn on 3DS-> autoboot into HBL -> PASTA CFW -> Now for autoboot, you need to wait for the bottom screen to start flashing different color screens (red, blue, yellow, green...), then press and hold down L.

So if one only needs disabled firm-launch Pasta CFW, use the mini PAsta instead.

He said what I was too lazy too

Every time I use Mini Pasta, my 3DS locks up at 'free 5: 00000000'
It worked once, and never worked again. Anyone know what the problem is and how I can fix it?
Using it to create an offline method of GW because I don't always have internet and I dont want to downgrade.

Old 3DS - 9.2.0-20E, *hax 2.5 (homemenuhax)

Yeah it's got a horrible boot rate; just keep trying

@zoogie at it, again. Nice work! This should have a proper Github release + a release thread, I think.

Just a quick note for everyone else - ReiNAND CFW SysNAND mode does basically everything the same as MiniPasta.
The two main reasons I made miniPasta are: I was tired of watching noobs brick their systems by updating with firmlaunch CFWs and needed something safer to recommend to them. The other is I wanted a no-BS quick CFW for my dev stuff on sysnand. I purposely keep the CFW low-key because I know it has niche appeal and don't see it as something most people would prefer over the more feature laden CFWs.

My next release will contain source.

Seems to be an issue with libkhax, which is annoying because it's supposed to be more stable than brahma.
I may look into fixing the bootrate once I get done with my current project.

On my New 3DS, I've never seen it fail to boot. It boots more often than Reinand's sysNAND mode, actually.

Haha I thought it was down to bootrate. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Ive been out of the 3DS scene for a few months so I was thinking I did something wrong haha

Ok, just so happens I have a EUR 9.2, 2DS so I tested your approximate conditions myself. : )
11101 10111 (80%) Which is actually better than menuhax itself, which boots around 70%.
I used menuhax latest build, standard blue theme. No wifi on.
Using the latest standard hbmenu. (not mashers version)

You might want to see if you have any better luck with this. It's basically miniPasta integrated into hbmenu. Press X to activate while in the menu.
You can also run it as a standard app by placing it in a folder and adding it to the 3ds directory.

@Ronhero - what exact setup are you using for miniPasta?

Oh, and here's the source too.
Feel free to put it up on Github (and improve it).

I'm surprised I didn't see BootCTR or ctrbootmanager mentioned here. They both boot directly from *hax 2.5 and can boot HBL, or pretty much any CFW/ARM9 payload (like Decrypt 9).
